Was Matt Robertson traded mid shift?
Robertson was stationary behind his net with the puck and was deciding what to do while juggling the puck and then he tapped the puck to hard which caused it to roll forward right to the only Belleville player in the zone who tapped it right past Garand.
Othmann with a Laser to put Hartford on the board.
Hartford down 2-2 with under 16 to goin the second.
Yes a nightmare goal given up by Robertson. I'm not sure I've seen one like that before. It will give Robertson nightmares.

A lot of whip on that power play goal by Othmann.

Imama is a legit AHL tough guy and he's built like a bull. Rempe did fine against him....basically his going down was from a missed punch and Imama pushing him over but Rempe backed him up or pushed him back to use his reach to advantage as the fight went on. Harder to get as much leverage or power in your punch when you're moving backward.

The Pack are showing as much resilience as the Rangers this year. More often than not when the team needs to find a goal someone does.

Nice to see Othmann turning it around, 3G/3A in the last 5.

Sykora also putting up points with 2G/2A in his last 6.
and that is why he should stay in Hartford for most of the year if not all of it.
He was in a bit of scoring slump and he found his way our of it. Hartford is a decent team and right now glad to see he is developing the right way.

Sometimes there’s a bit of an adjustment period.

Sometimes that gets compounded with shit shooting luck.

He wasn’t going to shoot 4% for the year. That # will continue to climb.

Glad Sykora is adjusting too. Wasn’t sure about his placement in the league but the numbers are respectable given his role/usage.

Overall solid game by the pack.

Garand was out of position on the first goal and had his glove down. Couldn't tell if it deflected off the D stick or not from where I was sitting, but that was preventable.

The Robertson play behind the net on the Orrin Centazzo goal was simply atrocious. Basically there's Steve Smith, Ryan O'Byrne, and that. That kind of bad. Still think his puck handling is his biggest deficiency, and he'll need to fix it if he ever hopes to be NHL ready.

Othmann looked a lot better than the first Pack game I went to as I think he's making necessary adjustments to his game. There are still some elements of his game you can see he's struggling with - like being used to beating juniors defenders wide and realizing he can't do that in the AHL, but the wrist shot on his PPG was one of the best shots he's taken yet in the AHL (absolute snipe), and the read on the GTG at the end of regulation was a pure timing play, and he probably doesn't make that read 3 weeks ago. Good to see him coming along.

The D corps is definitely banged up and struggling a little bit, but they found a way to win. They definitely miss Harpur back there. Coaching staff needs to work with them on shooting for rebounds more - a lot of high wristers from the point that were easy freezes vs. shots at the pads hoping for rebounds. Hollowell was strong to the net on the GWG even though Nash scored it, 81 made the play basically the whole way. Belleville goalie looked hurt on the last play, shame b/c he played a heck of a game.

Trivigno struggled a bit out there with positioning, reads, and getting caught on for long shifts. Henriksson had an OK game...had a partial breakaway in the 2nd and hit iron (looked like crossbar from where I was sitting).

Rempe did petty well against Imami in a very even, good fight. He caught him with one early in the inital sequence, then Imami took over the fight in the middle, then Rempe started to come back in the end before Imami tackled him down. It was a good test for him, but he'll need a little bit better balance in the NHL and he was struggling to stay on his toes during the fight (vs. back on his heels/leaning back since Imami is extremely strong), and he didn't go for body shots where that could have helped him to throw in a few vs. nailing Imami's helmet as much as he did. Still, it was an outstanding fight.

Garand did not have a great game, but he made good saves when he needed to and kept them in the game.

That deflection by Sykora was outstanding. That shot was going 2 feet wide of the net left side, he deflected it on his backhand out of midair while reaching for the puck - far post along the ice and in.

How long did it take for Cuylle to get going?

Othmann could very well be our TDL “add” for the top9 if needed

He was bigger, stronger and faster. He had also spent 3 years in the NCAA by that point.
Yeah and he also showed the following season he wasn't ready to contribute in a full time role in the NHL.

Anyway, I agree with your initial point that it would be wonderful if Othmann was ready to make the jump later this year, but that relying on it happening is probably not a great plan.
