Barbashev joins the Pack on an ATO.

Both McConnell-Barker and Barbashev joining the Wolf Pack on an ATO is great. Get some pro hockey in, even if it's just practice, and then back to juniors. Ty Ronning did the same for 2 years straight. Won't hurt.

Let's see what the plan is next season with Sýkora. That is still the big question mark. He's no longer held back by the IIHF transfer agreement so the Rangers have full control now.

Any chance Sykora goes to juniors? Don’t want a Robin Kovacs issue where they rush him to the AHL if he is not 100% ready. Did not help Ronning since the Rangers never cared to give him a look and has not done anything at the AHL level to earn that look.

yes that's certainly possible
His rights are held be Medicine Hat
("Drafted 2022, 1 #1 overall by Medicine Hat Tigers in the CHL Import Draft" Eliteprospects)
and as WJC was ending, there was chatter of MH trading him, i believe to Saskatoon

other options exist
- AHL w pack
- back to Slovak league
- to an alternate Euro league, such as SHL

these have all been discussed here a few times prior, in this thread, and maybe also the Sykora thread itself
sorry for not tracking those down, just not feeling motivated

A shame that this Hartford team shows more fight than the parent club.

Good for Hartford. Keep those kids far away from Mika/Kreider/Panarin
A lot of these picks have the piss and vinegar. That's what Drury looks for. Othmann isn't a choir boy. That's good.

They can be wonderful people and do lots of charity and community work off the ice. During games, play like a douche and hate to lose.
