Well, it's the team's hashtag and people will search that looking for content they aren't already following. Gives a broader audience to the post.

People will use the trending tags on Twitter as a way for people to look at their post, even if it has nothing to do with the tag.
So then it WAS a NYR PR dude! Good bc now I feel fair game to criticize it. That shit is so eye rolling, cringe inducing and lame. It doesn't even make sense. What does a new Yorker play like anyway? Shit? Bc every childhood ranger fan who comes here seems to suck ass.

Ah it's more for kids anyway, they see a hashtag like that and feel pride and all that shit. Still. Uck.

I know what hashtags are, I just wanted to know that one wasn't your brainchild b4 lambasting it. They made it so you use it. Not your fault the nyr PR team is so lame

Hah. PlayLikeANewYorker really isn’t much of a badge of honor. Years ago? Sure. But not these days. Fair point.

Like his motor and he's trusted as a PK guy too. Definitely an ELC guy for me. Plenty of guys to let go of instead of him.
Right and since I believe he's 23 it's only a two-year ELC, so less commitment. Or they could theoretically wait until summer when he turns 24 and it's one year, though someone else might offer him a deal before then. He has been good since they first brought him in last Spring.

Do you think when the NHL season is over we stack the pack with Chytil, Kaako, (return the obvious post TDL call up) Kravstov, Lindgren, Igor?

I'd say for sure unless these prospects could become involved in the international tournaments leading to World Championship. This could apply to Chytil, Kakko and Igor.

I think they should go down, only if they stand to gain something. Lindgren and Chytil, they don't need to play there. They have both demonstrated that the AHL is a level that they have mastered. Kakko? Seems like it's worth i for him. Though, he seems to be struggling a bit with the NHL schedule/his conditioning, so they may just want to give him a break after the season. Kravtsov definitely should go back. Shesterkin as well, since all he needs at this point is reps.

However, I know some want everyone to go down just to see Hartford make a run and have the guys get that experience. I get it, but I'm still not sure how beneficial it is.

i doubt they send, Chytil or Fox or even Kakko.
likely not Howden either, but in his case i see value in him playing top 6 minutes in meaningful games
(same for Kakko but i see him either at WC, or at rest ...)

it could be typically pretty crowded in Hartford as more guys trickle in as their seasons end ...
Wall, Tarmo, Gross, Skinner, Roberston, Nanne?
(Miller, too, if he turns pro after only 2 @Wisco)
maybe Barron or even Lias
plus guys from Maine (Elmer, Day*, either just as likely to already be in Hartford before long)
(FYI AHL season lasts a week longer than ECHL(and NHL) . Maine will play 1 or 2 rounds in their division, the 1st place team Newfoundland has way way best in division%)
and the usual random UDFA ATOs

* i recognize doubts about Day, but gotta believe, if playing well, he can contribute at least as much HWP's current 5,6,7 D

That's another important thing to remember. ATOs. Guys could be coming in. They may sign a college free agent or two and have them suit up.

Howden is interesting. He'll have two full NHL season under his belt, but he kinda sucks. Could be helpful for him. Honestly he should be there now.

Official attendance only 1807... yikes. Shame, Pack has been great this year, really deserving of more support than 1807.

They roll up streets in downtown Hartford on weeknights. This is why the AHL schedule back-to-back-to-back weekend games.

Google says the greater Hfd metro area has roughly 1.2 million people... 1807 represents 0.0015%... let's be generous, 0.02% of the 1.2 mil. Rough. Feel sorry for the Pack not getting more support, especially after many awful seasons and playing really well overall and at home this season.

Brooks made a good point the other day. Players have to be on the AHL roster (at least on paper) as of the trade deadline in order to be eligible for the AHL playoffs. NHL teams only get 4 callups after the trade deadline. So if we send guys down so they'll be eligible, and then bring them back up, we will use up our callups.

It would be nice if we could add a couple forwards for the playoffs, but it probably won't happen.
