I would guess Shesterkin himself doesn't even really care about the ASG. He's a prospect of the caliber where he could become an NHL superstar and possibly even star for his country at the international level. He seems like a humble guy who would appreciate being named an AS, even at the AHL level, but at this point I would guess he's not interested in the game. He's probably more focused on doing things that help him develop into that superstar as quickly as possible.

Curios to see/hear why the Pack signed Maine's backup Broissoit (spelling?) to a PTO with McCollum in Hartford to back up Igor.

I would have started Huska in Maine and bury him with game after game to get the reps in... instead he was stuck behind Igor in Hartford. There still is Connor LaCouvee (not NYR property) in goal for Maine and he's doing very well... the reason why they shipped McCollum from Maine to the Florida Everblades (ECHL).

That is their plan for the break this week: Igor is getting the AHL games, and Huska is getting the ECHL games. I think Vince mentioned this in one of his recent articles.

Huska is playing in ECHL this week. Otherwise his pro career started after playing in college last year, so as he becomes a #1 in Hartford for the remainder of the season, surely he's going to be well over the number of game he played last year?

Yeah Huska has played 20 games this year compared to 21 last year. He fell apart a quarter of the way through last season and lost the job to Vomacka, the Nashville draft pick (who himself is having an awful year). He did play 37 games the year he was the USHL Goalie of the Year, but I think he'll surpass that, as well.

Game is about to get underway. I'll try and grab as many good shots from tonight's game

Thanks man.
That lineup shows how hungry we should be to draft very heavy forward in 2020!
Each pairing on D has a potential NHL player. Up front unfortunately only one player probably has a legit chance. Anyway, Go Pack

Easy PP goal for PDG. Rykov fed Raddysh for a one-timer from the left boards, it was blocked and kicked out straight to the right circle where PDG one-timed it before the goalie could get over.

Rykov with a secondary assist on the PP.

Also, Shesterkin is pretty frisky tonight playing the puck

Yeah late in the period he fired that pass uo the middle--looked like a big aerial saucer pass? Can't tell on the feed. But yeah it was adventurous. He's just f***ing around, knows he's too good for the level.

Now, Fogarty strips the defender while on the PK and goes in alone and beats Gibson on the backhand.

Sound Tigers call a timeout.
