Was looking for the Shesterkin player thread couldn’t find it but ummmm this kids. AHL numbers are starting to look a lot like his KHL numbers with a way worse lineup in front of him. He’s 3-0 with a 1.34 Gaa and a Sav% Of .952 with a shutout.

small sample size but I mean this is no joke and the footsteps are going to get louder behind 30 and 40 if this continues.
Mighty Igor!

If they send down, Kakko - they need to recall a winger like Kravtsov.
Chytil should be playing NHL as well.

Considered done!!

That Tesla would look nice in my driveway....

;)

Seriously, though. Kakko will get acclimated and the AHL honestly wouldn't do him any good. He's fine where he is right now....

Wouldn't Huska also be exempt?

Great news for NYR, TBH. Even if Hank wants to play another season or two, he can still be retained by not letting any of the potential go away. Not sure if Gorton meant to do this, but if he did.... then he's....

Huska on the cusp on pro years because he only played 9 pro games last year, but doubtful to be eligible for selection due to lack of NHL starts.

Huska is exempt...games he played on an ATO don't matter. he is a 1st year pro...

They're playing three straight days?
Weekday AHL games draw like seven people unless they give away signed jock straps or whatever, so they pack the weekends full. Every team pretty much has at least one three-in-three per month. There's also a lot of three-in-fours where they do Thursday, Saturday, Sunday. And Sunday is usually an afternoon. Crazy.

Wonder if Ronning will get into a game this weekend. Three games over the next two and a half days. 3PM start on Sunday afternoon to conclude the back to back against Bridgeport.

6 games over the next 8 days actually, with a game on Wednesday next week. Probably why they wanted the extra body around. Hopefully he'll do something with it if he gets in.

Ronning to me is such an odd case. When he left Juniors the year after he was drafted he looked very good in Hartford with 5 points in 12 games. This was as a 19 year old. Since then he has struggled.

Wife left me Home alone tonight so I’ll be watching and posting updates.

Shesterkin gets the start. Bratsov most likely won’t play. Ronning here but not sure if he or Meskanen get in.

Ronning and Day are the healthy scratches tonight.

alzner out here for Laval Charlie Lindgren facing his brother Ryan. Poehling Julsen Hudon also out here for Laval. Should be a tough game

Chytil comes down deep in his zone takes puck away behind the goal line skates it out of trouble. Good job there.

Pack to the PP

Nice play to Chytil for a shot on the PP lindgren (full right catching goalie) makes the save

Keane skating well

With Kravtsov no longer on Hartford, Newell has taken his spot on the 2nd PP unit.

Fontaine just robbed by Lindgren. He did kind of shoot it back into him.
