Believe In Henke
Whst do you think happened to Meskanen? 1 point in his last 9 games and a minus 7.
He had a great month and a half then disappeared.

Revolving door of linemates on a dysfunctional team along with him never playing this many games (i don't think, too lazy to fact check) in a season.
How have some of the new players the Rangers added at the deadline been doing for the Pack?
I think Halverson has played himself into getting resigned to a 1 or 2 year deal.

Which he has shown that he has not done as of yet. In multiple opportunities. The biggest issue is that for a kid that is "shoot first", he stops shooting with the big club.If he could do that in the NHL is the issue.
Excellent first period, decent second then they lost the plot in the third, 5-3 loss.
Lettieri hattrick, Gilmour 3 assists. Hope Day is okay.
He looked fine, a bit too much movement for my liking but all the goals were tough, 2 deflections for example. How did Huska look?
Last couple games the Rangers might give some Pack players a game or two. They did that last year in the final game calling up Fogarty and Beleskey.
Gilmour's small and not good defensively but has 18 goals and 48 points. He is the offensive catalyst of the team and he will probably get another NHL shot somewhere. Fogarty and Lettieri are the other two most consistent offensive threats. Lettieri's a couple years younger and can still be considered a prospect. He's also the shooter and goal scorer. If he could do that in the NHL is the issue.
I like how this random guy says the Rangers should "look no further than Hartford for their next call-up," as if they'd be calling up a guy from somewhere else.Article says Gilmour should be called up now -
New York Rangers: John Gilmour deserves a shot with the big boys
He should have been called up a while ago - why not, see if he can stick. He really has nothing left to prove in the AHL, and the Rangers aren't going anywhere this year. He could be part of the future in NY. If not, he's sure to get the chance somewhere else....

Anyway, I think Gilmour sucks. He can certainly sling that biscuit around, but I have an impossible time seeing him playing decent defense at the NHL level. The fact that the Rangers prioritized Lindgren and Hajek as the recalls over Gilmour, who is having a great year statistically and theoretically help the anemic offense, I think is telling. I think it means they don't see him as part of the future of the Rangers, and as such, wanted to check out the guys they considered real NHL prospects first. There's still time for him, I suppose, but he's close to turning 26 and he needs to find an NHL home soon. I don't think it's here.
If Gilmour is a part of the future in NY, then Gorton has done a crappy job rebuilding the defense.
Thing is, I'm sure by now every team has seen plenty of him. Pro scouts have either seen him with the Rangers last year or in Hartford. Particularly this year, with his gaudy point totals and All-Star designation, I'm sure everyone has watched him. If there was a team interested in him, I'm pretty sure the Rangers would have no qualms in moving him (given his impending UFA status) had someone inquired. They could have conceivably even tried to move him. But again, he's Group 6 after the season, so we'd have to re-sign him and go through this whole song and dance again. I think the writing is on the wall and he'll be somewhere else next year (be it here or overseas).Agreed.
The same could be said of Pionk as well though, and we keep marching him out there. Best case, we drive Gilmour's value up to a mid-round pick; worst case... we don't?
