Episodic maybe in the sense it's going to be broken up into chapters with clear beginning and end points as you go along?

A couple games that have come out recently have gone back to that trend (specifically Guardians of the Galaxy and the new Life is Strange launching as full retail games, just with clear bookends for the story beats)

That or free DLC side stories would be my guess.

How do you new-aged gamers feel about HI not launching with a Battle Royale mode? I’ve heard it’s a big deal to streamers and people who watch streams (if you’re into that for whatever ungodly reason) and there are concerns it’ll shrink the Halo population with a lack of BR mode

Not a "new-aged gamer", but I actually think a BR mode could be a good fit for Halo, it's got the weapons and vehicles for it and Halo has always been great fun in large maps.

The only other BR game I've enjoyed is Apex Legends, but having seen that one done well, I don't have anything against the mode and would give it a shot in if it came to Halo Infinite.

Battle Royale is cancer and that's
the exact reason I'm excited for Infinite.

All these streamers and YouTubers bitching how infinite will be dead in a month without BR. Why can't they just play the other 35 variations and stop trying to cram it in to everything?

They’re over the top for sure but people are allowed to want the newest game of their favorite series to have the mode they enjoy the most. At least the last time I checked but maybe the video game police have changed that

What? Are you trying to tell me nobody who wants a BR in this has halo as their fave series? I’m not sure what you meant here

I don't know your background, but it seems pretty obvious that you have played barely any Halo before if you think a Halo game needs battle royale. However, I don't disagree with your premise is that Halo could have it, people just don't need to play it. Nonetheless, the game won't "die" if it never has it like some dimwit pro-Call of Duty fanbois are mentioning around the internet.

I’ve been playing Halo games since Halo 2 and I think it’d actually pull off a battle royale mode better than most games.

I’ve played since Halo 1. The “you must be new to Halo” argument is such a bad one either way.

I won’t lose sleep either way but a Halo BR is something I’d for sure try out.

I think they will add a BR mode 6 months to a year after launch like Activision did with Warzone. I most likely won't check it out though. I really don't understand the appeal of a first person shooter game mode where for 90% of the match you are just walking around not shooting anything.

I never meant intended my argument to be a good one because I was simply assuming based upon how you came across. My apologies.

Would be awesome if true, but seems odd to just release it out if the blue.

Like it there was some scheduled streaming event where they showed off a bunch of multiplayer and then at the end said “and you can play all of this….now”, that would make sense cause they’d know they’d have a sizeable audience of fans and media watching.

That would be absolutely wild if it's true. Warren's pretty legit as a source so if he's hinting at it there's smoke here. Either the full multiplayer or maybe some type of beta or something. Makes even more sense given what November 15th means to the series.

The test flights played great, feedback was generally good so I could definitely see multiplayer being ready to go.

Strike while the iron is hot. Battlefield's early access is in a predictably shoddy state and that franchise lost steam considerably with BFV. Warzone is mired with cheaters and such. Get Halo out there. I'm ready
