Yes and I was going to vote Makar but then saw this and thought it's extremely close so F it.
“So F it” ?

So you’re admitting to submitting an illegitimate poll answer here?

This board sometimes..

Quinn Hughes.

He is 5 points back of Makar with 6 fewer games played.

At his current PPG pace, that would be 6 points in 5 games, putting him ahead of Makar.

Hughes is doing this while leading his team in scoring by 15 points.

Makar is 16 points behind his team's leading scorer.

Makar's teammates are #1 and #3 in NHL scoring.

Hughes' closest teammate is #90 in NHL scoring.

Hughes has significantly less offensive support yet he's carrying his team offensively, while also being better than Makar defensively.

What's the argument for Makar? 5 more points while playing 6 more games? All while playing with MacKinnon and Rantanen?

I'm serious, what's the argument for Makar over Hughes this season?

It's HFBoards. These polls aren't that serious. Just for that I'll throw out a vote for Myers.

I can make an equal case for both guys, it's really that close for me.

Like if I was a real voter I'd probably flip a coin, that's how close they are.

I’d be lying if I said I was not heartbroken reading this post made from a old timer HFBoards member

I know right. Throw em in jail.
wetcoast is a prolific main boards poster, whose rise to stardom was fast and deserved, but that doesn’t make anyone immune to judgment for any foul play

I'm a Canucks fan, but i will always have an extremely difficult time voting for a dman who doesn't consistently play on the pk. Like for me ya gotta have at least the opportunity to have an effect on that important part of the defensive side of the game. It feels incomplete voting for a dman who doesn't pk.

ASP is the best defenseman in the world but since he's not in the NHL, baby I guess

It's Makar. Call me old fashioned but I feel like the best defenseman in the league should be trusted to kill penalties. So a big fat no on Hughes.

Makar shouldn’t be trusted to kill penalties. He’s not good at them.

Also, Hughes won it last year. PK has little weight.

Nobody looks good on a PK when your goalies are Georgiev (.874/3.38) and Annunen (.872/3.23).

.....Anyone else remember when the Norris Trophy wasn't just about a points race?
