It's the Broad Street Bullies effect. Commit so many penalties they can't call them all. McDavid could draw a penalty every shift because someone is always hooking or holding him. To his credit he doesn't dive, and on occasion he snaps to keep them honest. If they had called Garland for holding, humping and raping him, Garland would still have his teeth.I read somewhere McDavid is in the bottom one third of players drawing penalties. How is that possible for the best player on the planet?
