its so obvious there need be an award for best defensive dman . ecspecially for non hockey playing fans (theres millions) sake to better understand game and know who the most important players are ! also concerning non hockey playing fans a bottom of screen ticker should be utilized to teach hockey terminology such as half wall / bumper / etc . and finally , also use ticker to i.d. players on the ice so fans can more easily identify opponant players . another biggy is make nets say 6'' wider to increase scoring = more exciting games , and in first place bigger goalies n pads make original size nets too small !I'm a Canucks fan, but i will always have an extremely difficult time voting for a dman who doesn't consistently play on the pk. Like for me ya gotta have at least the opportunity to have an effect on that important part of the defensive side of the game. It feels incomplete voting for a dman who doesn't pk.
