I think that's a fine comparison for those 2 players. Buchelnikov is a fantastic prospect, but he's clearly a few tiers below Demidov.You know buch is outscoring Demidov right? I still give the edge to demidov because he’s younger and a bigger player, but saying it’s champagne compared to seven up just shows you guys need to up your knowledge on prospects that aren’t just habs centered.
Even with size and age taken out of the picture there's a clear separation talent wise. Buchelnikov is 2nd for TOI/game among all forwards on Vityaz, presumably getting top unit powerplay time and he's tied for 21st for +/- on the team.
On SKA, Demdiov is 12th for TOI/game among forwards, gets virtually no powerplay time and is leading SKA in +/- and tied for 3rd in the league. He leads the league in points/60 by a significant margin, if SKA hadn't hard balled him for refusing to extend then I think there's a very good chance he'd be leading the league in points at 19 years old.
