He's not had the most flashy pre-season, but I'm still a huge fan of Lehkonen. I can tell from last year and this pre-season that Julien is a huge fan as well.

I think he'll enjoy DLR also and work with him to elevate his offensive game.

Benn has looked much better the last two games.
Benn seems like the kind of player who just gets his wheels turning during pre-season.

He's a vet, you know exactly what he's going to bring. If he stops bringing that during the season, then you may start seeing a different kind of pre-season from him.

Mete looks great. If nothing changes, he'll be here for the entire season.

And I'm a huge Streit fan, but I don't care that he's a vet... he didn't earn his spot over Jerabek. Jerabek was our 3rd or 4th best defenseman, as far as I'm concerned. Feel bad for the guy.

Agreed. Do not understand it. Except if CJ nervous having 2 rookies in the line up and Mete gets the nod.

Couple of early notes,

Really like Drouin so far. He sees the ice really really well and I think he might be fine as a center.
Galchenyuk looks engaged and has slowed the play down twice in the first for his goal and shaw setup. Much better hustle tonight.
And Hemsky if healthy might actually prove to be useful. He has played a good game so far.

Really early to be projecting an entire season based on these points but some good positives.

I'm glad Galchenyuk is picking it up, but let's make this clear: this only makes him more tradeable in Bergevin mind. He is just waiting for his value to go up before shipping him up. Let's just hope his dislike of him is not as obvious to other GMs than it is for us, if Bergevin want to have any type of leverage in negociation. Too bad, #27's a real talent and I for one will enjoy as much as possible his remaining days in Montréal.

I hope Habs' owner and management will think twice in the future before agreeing (or demanding) on such a pre season schedule. Just awful hockey wise. Too many games. Too many raw rookies and AHL level guys. Not enough time to have tye real NHL boys gelling together.

Millions in extra revenue. Not happening.

With cheap hits like we saw on Mete, is there a need for a player who can protect his teammates? Chris Neil I know is old but is still a mean SOB. Just asking

If the Habs feel an enforcer is needed they could just sign a plug to play in Laval and call him up when ever he's needed. That said I don't see a role realistically for guys like Neil anymore. Guys like Ryan Reaves on the other hand though are useful, aka tough guys who can drop the gloves and still play hockey.
