Lindgren should be given the opportunity to win the back-up job. I know he would play more in the AHL but I don't see what he has left to gain there.

If Lindgren is good, which I think he will be, we have either a solid young back-up, or a good goalie prospect to trade. I know goalie's do not carry much value, but Lindgren will surely have more value as an NHL goalie v as an AHL goalie.

Lindgren will become a very good NHL goalie. Signing Price for 8 X 10,5 M $ was not making any sense.

I'm wondering if we would prefer to keep Drouin out against the Leafs at this stage anyways. If Drouin is nursing any pain at all, let him sit and get ready for the season when the games count.

What are the line-up predictions now that Drouin is out for tonight?

Patch / Galchenyuk / Hemsky
Hudon / Pleky / Lehkonen
Byron / Danault / Gallagher
DLR / Froese / Mitchell

Mete / Weber
Alzner / Petry
Davidson / Benn

It's litreally mitchel fo deouin to my understanding, with the exception of shaw, schlemko and now drouin this is our actual expected lineup (price obviously isn't in but this is our battle for the backup now I think)

Good. This is a way to keep the excuses going when they lose again.

When Alzner skates to the perimeter leaving the slot open for an easy goal tonight.. will we not be able to criticize it because "Mitchell is playing #1C"?

These are questions that are need to know.

I’d blame it on Shaw not playing. He’s the glue of the team.

Don't worry, it will be Galchenyuk's fault. If Chuck is playing C, the narrative will be he shouldn't be and sucks at it an must play wing. Or, if he is playing wing, the narrative will be he sucks at it and should have been playing C.

Oh, in your scenario, Galchenyuk will be to blame despite not being on the ice with Alzner.

Sucks we aren't seeing Drouin...

But the reason we are seeing Mitchell slide in is to not mess with the other line combos... how do so many of you not understand this?

Because they are still holding on hope that Golden Boy is an actual good centre.

No one cares
Am I reading this correctly that they won't even give Chucky center over Mitchell in an exhibition game?:laugh: This franchise is a complete joke, this is going to be the year that Bergevin gets remembered for.

Galchenyuk can't play center.

It is not really hard to understand. Seems hard to accept tho.
