Pre-Game Talk: Habs vs Blues

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

It's not weird at all... Down the stretch, teams with a #1 tend to lean heavier on them. Just about every team battling for a playoff spot is playing their #1 goalie just as heavily.

For the remainder of the season (until we clinch or are eliminated) I bet Dobes will only play 2-3 of the last 13 games... 1 of each of the upcoming back to backs and maybe 1 or max 2 other games unless Monty falters big time.
It's weird because Monty is letting in bad goals often recently and looks tired.

Meh... Imo the fan reactions overstate the "bad goals".

Hes playing well enough to help our very thin roster play at a top level since the break. Coaching staff gets it even as some fans prefer to exaggerate his mistakes.

They're not exaggerated.

They are goals he will tell you that he should not let in.

Fact is, he's bad at shots from distance and he gets worse at the them when he is overused. He is overused currently.

Don't listen to the haters. Montembeault has actually not let in a single bad goal. He has only had much much positive impact on every game, no exception. I will repeat that he has not let in a single bad goal. The coaching staff has even reviewed the coaching staffs decisions and has found that the coaching staff does, in fact, get it

Guhle's return might just be the little boost we need lately, the game we lost were in the end very tight on the scoreboard.

Struble did an awesome jobs in his absence, but Guhle is still a better and more experienced D than Struble.
Let's hope he'll be ready very soon.
