GDT: 2024-25 season game 71 LA Kings vs Colorado Avalanche @7:00pm 3/27/25

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

This game is massive.
In theory if we win and Edmonton loses, we could have a 4 point lead for P2 with 11 games left and 10 for Edmonton.

That being said
Colorado hasn't lost at home since Jesus was a child
and we have been SUCKING on the road
In the last 10 road games we are 3-6-1
and in the last 20, we are 6-10-4

and since we have a biblical theme going....

Is that Rob Blake the patron saint of surfing?

Rittich in goal tonite. Interesting.

a) Darcy a bit banged up from getting run into or whatever
b) Hiller giving him a night off for rest pre-playoffs
c) Some f***en stupid theory based on advanced stats
d) none of the above

If its not a or b, then its a rittich-ulous decision

Note: back to back coming up means DR gets 2 of next 3 starts

Expecting a loss, Rittich is the sacrificial lamb

Probably getting Darcy as much rest as possible before playoffs

But I’ll be damned if Rittich doesn’t get lit up for six

Then again, he seems to do well when the game is too fast for him to think about it than when people are floating prayers thru traffic so

Rittch starting.

4th game in 7 nights.

Colorado hasn't lost at home since January.

Kings have only won 6 road games in their last 20.

Our epic 4th line dismantled.

Everything is pointing to a loss. So I guess that means we'll win.

We rarely do well in Colorado even when they're bad. I have no expectations for this game. Just don't be a blowout, please.

Don't forget 'on national tv!'

This is the one time a year people get to form 3-year-long opinions about the Kings so they have to shit the bed

Definitely a load management game to use an NBA term. I'll will not be disappointed with a loss as long as we score some goals.
