I would not trade Fowler for Wilson 1 for 1.

Among all our remaining prospects (including Hage and Zharovsky), Fowler is at the top of the list. He's a star goalie that won at every level. He will in the NHL too. The opposite would be the surprise.

Kapanen is likely to be a 3C, but after players like Lehkonen, Sergachev, McDonagh, etc., players that looked like they'd always be middling in the NHL, I wanna be cautious.

Pickford had a record season, but it was junior. It'd be nice to see what he can do at the pro level before deciding to trade him or not.

Edmonton has been contending far longer than Montreal has. Low firsts aren’t worth much. Neither are goalie prospects. The WHL isn’t what it used to be with so much talent heading for the NCAA.

I said earlier this same thread that I thought Kapanen and a 1st was a decent offer for a guy like McTavish. Guess what Ducks fans said? Thanks, not interested.

it’s not montreal fans problem that you got your panties in a knot over our vast resources . the oilers would like to correct some bone head mistakes that your gms have done ( jarry , nurse for example ) but yous have absolutely nothing to work with . it’s a shame because yous have 2 of the top 10 players on the planet and your wasting them .

I'm 100% trying Kapanen again before making a massive overpayment for a 2C.
I'd try to add a winger to pair with Suzuki and Caufield and bring back Slaf with Demidov and Kapanen.

i would do the same but newhook would be my guy between slaf and demidov .

Kapanen will have a 10 years career in the NHL easily.

Lehkonen in his last year in MTL had by far the best on ice results on the team, while having not very favourable usage.

It would be smart to try and find a sucker to buy in on Kapanen

Kapanen did well as a rookie. I'm not saying he's going to turn into a star but man, why are fans holding this kid back when he has made development gains season after season since being drafted.

Just because he is not a real 2C that turns the contender needle, it don't mean he sucks and is not worth much.

Middle ground is required here. No deflating lows and no pumping highs. Fans need to learn this on these boards
