What could the Habs get for any combination of the below package...

Oliver Kapanen - 22 goal NHL rookie
Jacob Fowler - Top goaltending prospect
Bryce Pickford - CHL defencemen of the year
1st 2026
1st 2027

We are looking for an under 30 2C or an under 27 big body top 6 winger.

Do the 5 pieces above entice any teams?

I'd like to retain Hage, Zharovsky, and Reinbacher

I think the only guy that sticks out that could be available for those assets is Pettersson, and his issue is that he basically has to come with retention for him to work long-term with Montreal. I posted Gallagher, Kapanen, Engstrom and a 2026 1st for Pettersson at $9 million in another thread, I think that's a pretty fair deal for both sides. But I'm really skeptical Vancouver is willing to eat money on EP.

Beyond that, I don't see any big bodied top-6 wingers or top-6 centers of that age being available for these assets. These assets don't come close to pulling off Knies, McTavish or Larkin. I feel like the package in the OP gets you more in the talks for someone like Trocheck, who's older than the range you mentioned.

Kapanen is an interesting piece, but I don't think he is quality enough to be the "main" option back in a top forward trade.

Fowler is a goalie, not going to carry too much value

Pickford is interesting, probably team dependant on value. Some may consider him a B- guy, a team or 2 may think he is a blue chip

Late 1sts are ok but nothign special.

If you want a legit top line player, you need to have Hage/Zharovsky in the deal. It's not a question, 31 other teams will offer better quality than Kapanen or Pickford plus picks.

For example, when Buffalo acquired Ryan McLeod who was a younger (24) 3C, it took a Savoie who at the time was a better rated prospect than Pickford by far. A true 2C would be Hage+picks and then you go up from there depending on the quality you want back

Big body, fast, very good analytical player, Jets Morgan Barron, 6’4” & 220lbs, never given a opportunity to play top six role, so he isn’t proven but has potential and is a good 3rd line center and winger. 27 yrs old

Jets ideally want more players like Barron, only reason to trade him is to get younger and restructure the team. Jets wouldn’t give him away cheap, but maybe for a fair offer that fills a need, gets us younger and helps the restructure.

More value to Habs keeping your prospects

That package doesn’t really get you anyone. You need to include Hage if you want someone of true value. Either way, I’d prefer to keep Fowler. Dobes looked good, but you never know with goalies
I feel like until dobes and Fowler need to be paid, might as well have em both

Figure out which 1 to go with when pay days come

My thoughts as well.

There was a brief moment in 2010 many thought Halak was the guy to keep over Price after his run. Young goalies are pretty temperamental, you dont always know what you have until a few years into their careers

Based on other thread... Zharkovsky, Reinbacher and Dach will get McD to waive his NMC to and run to Montreal to join the revolution!

Pickford scored 51 goals this season playing with shoulder injury. He should be untouchable.

That's unheard of for a defenseman in the W
He is a beauty isnt he??

Some people in here acting like I offered scraps just because I'm retaining 3 of our top 4 prospects.

I have Fowler as #1 currently.
