Agreed about those players, no doubt. That doesn't excuse the overall embarrassing effort.
Fair...

Though I do get it. Looks to me that Dach going down like that hit hard to the group... Doesn't excuse it, but I can understand that, especially for a young group that has literally no veteran top six talent on the roster (Anderson is again showing that even healthy, he just doesn't have the hockey sense to be a core player).

Next game response will be telling imo
I expect them to come out with a lot more fight & a lot more discipline

This is great though. A few key injuries will help people digest another tank season.

Btw this was such easy money tonight. Wild were awful in Toronto so you had bounce back effort, Fleury's last game here and Each injury. Not a single chance in hell Hans were winning this one.

Losing Dach has affected this team and has also shown how thin this team is up front. This is the least talented team (other than San Jose) in the league.

I like our group better than the Hawks or Flyers as well, but yes, we are near the bottom as far as today talent... Especially if Suzuki doesn't pick it up, our goalies continue to be league worst and Savard keeps playing like a 6-7 dman

I really believe they will look back at skipping Cooley, Michkov/Leonard as a gigantic error, like the Kostitsyn draft
Fair. I disagree & think that RB will look like a steal at 5 and Slaf will grow into the unicorn he was drafted to be....

Plus I think 2 of Hutson, Engstrom, Konyushkov & one of the goalies from this year will end up being clear first round talents from their draft years...

Time will tell

I wouldn’t say Caufield’s been shit, he’s got a point in each game and has been one of our only sources of offense despite Suzuki’s disappearing act.
Caufield has been our best forward so far this year. Tonight I felt like he didn’t get enough ice.

Suzuki? He wasn’t good in preseason and hasnt been good to start the year. But it’s very early.
