I understand. But are you ready to suck for 10 years? Who are going to replace these guys? Worst players?
I dont really want Gabriel Bourque up with the big club by default.
The only "core" guy there is Anderson. Monohan and Pearson are UFAs, who cares about Armia, and Allen can be replaced

Nobody (who should be interested) has the cap space for Anderson, unless another ugly contract comes the other way.

While I don't know every team composition, Washington Mantha+ for Anderson is something that could work before the off-season. Once the cap raise, he's going to be easier to move, but by then his trade value will probably be close to zero if he continues playing like that.
We are stuck with 2 very bad contracts especially if the players totally suck

Probably like his play in the defensive and neutral zones. They say “keep your head up, look for options” but he’s only doing that. It’s a process.

He did almost score on the PP in the 3rd. There has to be frustration building too.
He’s not lazy nor is he physically averse. He’ll throw his body and forecheck hard.
But every single top-6 player in the NHL will skate to the net with the puck or shoot when there’s an opportunity. He doesn’t. A top-6 power-forward will even force his body with the puck to open up a lane to the net or to shoot. What are the coaches telling him? Does he refuse to do it?

Hence "desperate team" haha. I can't believe we'll have to watch 3 more years after this season of Andy and Gally...

Mantha is a UFA after this year, that shoud've been done before this season. Would've been another master move by Hughes if he could've pull that off

Back to back for a team no one thinks makes the POs against a projected top 4 conf. team and a team most think will challenge for a POs and a team most think is bottom 10ish and its all how bad every one is...... I need a break lol.

Primeau kept it close for 39minutes.

Matheson has a serious case a Bambiniemi

HP Andy Suzi Slaf combined 0 goals in 24gp :eyeroll: are they doing extra time shooting pucks? Of course not.

Couldn't watch this game

Just saw the shot totals and the giveaway stats and I have to assume it was more of the same awful gross disgusting boring never touch the puck or complete a pass hockey

Glad I didn't waste my time

Nice goal matheson

Try Slaf on the top line, if it doesnt work, split Suzuki/Caufield. Play Ylonen with better linemates and give him 2nd PP wave since he can move the puck, make plays and has a good shot. Slaf on the top PP unit is worth the try too.
I'd be interested to see three lines of

Caufield - Monahan - Harvey Pinard
Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Gallagher
Pearson - Newhook - Anderson

Top PP

Suzuki
Caufield
Slaf
Monahan

Lolol at people looking for a quick solution. We're a bottom 10 team with major injuries that played against a Stanley cup contender on a back to back. There is no solution except drafting, smart trades and slowly keep plugging holes.

People wanna fire Burrows because magically our pp will be top 10 lolol. We don't have the tools for a good pp no matter who's coaching it.

feels like were going backwards in talent !
Tankers will tell you the plan was to be worse this year than last year

Obviously that wasn't the plan. They hoped the young guys and the young coaching staff would improve and gel together. Not every failure can be attributed to the Dach injury. Clearly they are all in over their heads.

A losing season is fine and can be expected, a season where every young player looks worse than last year is heinous and people need to start being held accountable

Not for me. Is what it is, but I'm not going to continuously flip a coin and complain about both sides of it. Or in HabsHF site all 4 sides of it lol.
I don't mind either, just have to keep our eye on the prize at the end.

Reading these recap threads is something. Y'all worse than the media we hate so much
This team is awful, worse than both the previous seasons.

Nearly every significant trade or draft pick looks horrible right now.

Not sure what there is to be positive about.

This is basically Year 1 of the rebuild, with the past 2 years not counting because we squandered the draft picks.
