Dach isn't a second line centerCrazy how we're Demidov-Dach-Laine away from being an actual playoff team. This is too much responsibility for the Suzuki line. They're not supposed to carry the whole team.
Counting on Dach anymore would be a mistake. This game indicated Laine and Dach are important pieces
Maybe but also, maybe not and the score would still end 1-0 flames. Point is, I don't know that Laine would have easily scored on him (and psssst, neither do youLaine would have easily scored on him. It was a 1 goal game. We could have used his offensive abilities.
Secondary offense... something we do not have outside of Laine. We have nothing outside of the 1st line.
What did Dach do this year that makes him an important piece? Lead the league in minuses? This game indicated Laine and Dach are important pieces
You don't get that kind of help at the TDL. If they were not going to sell, they should have used their useless glut of picks for some UFAs.Hughes should try addressing the 2C and not have his captain be surrounded with 3 4th line centers instead of sending veiled messages

Instead they may lose among family and friends. Stanley cups in a multi-billion dollar NHL are won by professionals first, friends second and definitely not families.
I thought that Beck was one of the more energetic Habs tonight. He made a couple of rushes where he flashed his speed; made several nice plays including sending Anderson in alone, did not shy away from contact and had an active stick in the defensive zone.I honestly wasn't hoping for a 2C now. I think that's something we tackle in the off season. Personally I wanted to C so we could move Beck back to Laval. I don't hate the way he's playing. But I'd much rather see him finish the year in Laval.
Obviously hoping Dach makes it back 100% but given two significant surgeries to the same knee, I have even more reticence about his ability to stay healthy.Well if we make no changes then yes, Dach will be tried again as our 2C next season. We might not be able to add a 2C through an FA this offseason. I have a feeling if we do add one, it will be by trade. I personally do like Dach, and when he's on he's a solid player. I just hope if we keep him, it's as a winger.
Hey, this tanker group brought you Demidov.Looking at all the whiner's names, it's no surprise it's the tankers group. Color me shocked...
This Habs team without Laine is completely lost.
Hey, this tanker group had no.say in anything except complaining the last few years.Hey, this tanker group brought you Demidov.
Otherwise you'd be buying a Konsta Helenius jersey.
I think they had a better team building philosophy than short term gratification people that just wanted to win every game with a rebuilding team.Hey, this tanker group had no.say in anything except complaining the last few years.

I mean, that’s not a conspiracy.I'M not for conspiracy theory...but somebody did say something like that...Hughes going with what the group wanted. And then telling them that we CLEARLY needed more. Hughes gets a high pick, the group also got what they wanted by playing together...everybody is happy....and Hughes makes the moves in the summer.
Based on what translated at the deadline, there is NO MORE waiting period. You have to improve that team THIS summer. Not next deadline.
Luckily for me. My magic 8 ball is on a roll these days. Knock yourself out. Go check my post history. I’m sure I have some duds but I’ve been saying since day one this team would be night and day with Laine in the lineup.Maybe but also, maybe not and the score would still end 1-0 flames. Point is, I don't know that Laine would have easily scored on him (and psssst, neither do you). He's played in games against less skilled goalies and scores exactly zero points, so unless you have a Magic 8 ball, how can you say Laine would have easily (or otherwise) beat him.
