Next year, the habs need to adress the 2nd line. One C and one winger to play with Demidov. They also need a rd that can play with Hutson and that CAN SHOOT THE PUCK FROM THE BLUE LINE. Seriously, none of ur Dman can shoot the puck from there.

I'm looking forward to see the effect Demidov will have on this squad before making any assertions about the playoffs next year, nevermind 90 percent. I know Hughes is going to look for help, we all can agree on that.

Nah Laine can stay, we saw how bad our offense sucks without him often. P% is our third best forward.

He can stay if he takes a massive pay cut and plays way less 5 on 5

Granted Dach has been injured alot. He really hasn't shown me that he is a true top 6 Center. Regardless if we get better at other positions. The team will not be truly competive with out a solid 2nd line.

Yeah this game was winnable, not a whole lot separating the two teams tonight, our lack of finish and Wolf playing well and getting lucky was the difference.

Our issue is at center. If this team had another center pacing for 50 points we would be in a playoff spot right now and yes we can make some improvements on D but get me a center first.

Hughes banking on Dach being the 2C is just as bad as Bergevin thinking Drouin can be the team's best forward. At some point even Bergevin stopped thinking that, so if Hughes doesn't I think it's worse.

Laine would have easily scored on him. It was a 1 goal game. We could have used his offensive abilities.

Secondary offense... something we do not have outside of Laine. We have nothing outside of the 1st line.

It was an issue since Monahan was here and it's still an issue today.

I felt he started off skating strong. But as the game went on, he was lagging behind the play a lot. He did have a few chances late in the game, where I was hoping he'd redeem himself.

Dach starting the season as 2C is plan C at best.

Real help will most likely need to come via trade. Unless we could get Bennett somehow.

Well if we make no changes then yes, Dach will be tried again as our 2C next season. We might not be able to add a 2C through an FA this offseason. I have a feeling if we do add one, it will be by trade. I personally do like Dach, and when he's on he's a solid player. I just hope if we keep him, it's as a winger.

Watching other teams I forgot that dmen usually blast it from the blue line. We have not had that in a long time and it's definitely missing. That's why I'd want the habs to make a move for a guy like Parayko.
