This team has a moderation problem. When they want to sit back, they sit way too far back. When they want to push, they push way too recklessly.

It's probably a symptom of having so many young players who are still figuring out the nuance, but if they're going to screw up I'd like them to err on the side of aggression.

Tonight felt like they played way too cautious for half the game.

Crazy how we're Demidov-Dach-Laine away from being an actual playoff team. This is too much responsibility for the Suzuki line. They're not supposed to carry the whole team.
We are more than that away.

Dach isn’t even good so I don’t know why you list him.

Our bottom defensive pairing is awful. Savard needs to be replaced ASAP. Hutson needs a real partner that isn’t Struble or Matheson.

3rd line are playing over their heads. Can’t expect Gallagher to be good next year. Dvorak needs replacing.

Didn't catch this one, but 1 - 0 after getting no help at the deadline is bound to create some friction.

Hope they beat the Canucks, that would throw a wrench in Kent's wheels in return.

If you're mad at Kent for standing pat, I don't think you trust the process. The reward is not "I trust this group to make the playoffs", but more "I'm keeping everyone together and whatever happens, happens".

This year was never about making the playoffs, it was about playing meaningful games and the boys are doing that. Of course finding a way in would make for a great run, getting close and not making it would hurt, falling flat would suck, but it's all part of the process.

Trust the process!

About the game though, that was a playoff like game and they look as good as they can with that roster. The day Dobes eventually becomes the #1 will be a good day. Wolf is the real deal and, tbh, that howling sound after every saves has to get to opposing players in a game like this.

Not taking a shot in the last 30 second of the 6 on 5 with all that Ozone time was bad. They need to stop always trying to look for the perfect play and try to get greasy goals more often, especially in that type of situation.

A match you need guys like Newhook to step up and....

Well that's the purpose of these games, see who can actually step up (or not) when it matters, who can handle pressure, not the same as playing vs Florida's half-roster on the 81th game of the season and "winning" 10-1

poor start but the effort and chances were there after the first period, we just got goalie'd.

Pezzetta in for Laine really kills the line combos. Frustrating L but we need to just move on and call up someone if Laine can't play

Not to sound dramatic, but if all he does is go for another reclamation project like Mercer and acquires a cap dump because he got paid a pick, he deserves to be in the hot seat.

Kent is a genius. Let them fail on their own and then no mercy come summer time.

They've earned it, if your child believes he's ready to walk on it own give him the opportunity, if they stumble they learn from it, and then you can come back and help support them more.

Norris is injury prone and I think we could have used Dach or Newhook with one of our 1st to even out the value but I might be wrong.

The Sens and Sabre swapped 2 guys that didn't quite live up to their promise and the trade was symmetrical: years in, years out & dollars in, dollars out for both team.

The Habs probably could have forked the assets to get Cozens in the grand scheme of thing. And I'm very glad they didn't even bother to kick the tires on that one. They need to do better than Cozens.
