Pre-Game Talk: Habs @ Leafs - Season Opener

Marner sorta got up and went over to the trainer, and Mirtle/Siegal seemed to indicate it seemed like he was telling the trainer what he is feeling, Marner went and told Keefe and then left.

They said they don’t know more and Leafs haven’t said anything yet, but if they had to guess based on what they say, Marner could miss these games

Sounds like they are completely guessing to me.

Marner must play! I voted for him to make the last goal in a open net.

Marner i know you read this. You understand HF points are at stake here right? So just play! And make that goal. But not the first one. Not to hard ask.
 
If Marner and Mathews are out tonight work hard and win.
Pittsburgh without Crosby, Malkin and Guentzel beat Tampa Bay .
We still have Taveras, Willy and out depth.

You can basically see all that on the video. He looked fine once he got up, tried to stay in the play, but they blew it dead and pulled him.

Seems to be cautionary, but he was to be reevaluated this morning

We all saw the incident. Video is everywhere. Spezza was interviewed after, and thought it was nothing.

If Marner isnt good to go what are the lines

Ritchie - Tavares - Kase
Bunting - Kerfoot - Nylander
Engvall - Kampf - ????
Simmonds - Amadio - Spezza
 
That was not a huge collision between Simmonds and Marner at all. If he is injured on that we have an issue. He has taken far worse hits then that rubbing.

I would be extremely surprised if he misses any time for that.

If Marner doesnt go you probably see Robertson called up and lines will be as follows:

Ritchie-Tavares-Nylander
Bunting-Kerfoot-Kase
Engvall-Kampf-Robertson
Simmonds-Amadio-Spezza

Yeah Semyonov is definitely next in line.

I'd like to see Robertson because I think he can probably play with a lot of fire and he's got skill... but Semyonov probably deserves the shot and he needs to play in the NHL.
