I'll happily relive that 08-09 season over we are going through now. At least that team had some skilled players and likeable players.

It was a good team the first half of the season. We were missing Markov, Lang and Tanguay in the playoffs. If they were playing and we had Halak in net I’m sure we could have won. I still believe it today, we had a good team.

Caufield, Kotkaniemi and Romanov, were sat to start this series so they could sit... and learn... from the bullshit they threw on the ice. I'm still not over that. This team is gutless garbage.
What can they learn from a bunch of veterans who no-show when it matters most? I’m sure they learned a lot from our defense not being able to move or our supposed offensive wingers not being able to get clean shots off or hit the net.

He's inconsequential to the future success of the habs. It really doesn't matter one iota if he's not kept around after this season.

The fact that this type of over the hill player is a bright spot shows you how depressing this team is.
That's a management problem
Not a Perry problem

People don't like him becuase he won't buy into a pie in the sky hopefully sometime in the future tank

Losing to the Leafs isn't what's frustrating to me, that much was expected. Losing while benching the kids, that's bad. Losing while playing like offense is an afterthought, that's bad. And most of all, this is the ficking Leafs, these two teams have not faced each other in 60+ years, they are historical rivals, this is the POs, and there is no meanness or intensity to this group. I don't recall ever being so embarrassed of this team. Even when we faced Boston and they'd beat all our guys, or Ottawa, we still were bringing some intensity.
Today? It's as intense as an all star game.
Puke worthy. Disgusting.
Could you imagine the media anger if Gauthier was the GM of this and koivu the captain?

I agree, had we been healthy we would have been more competitive. That team had a lot of bad luck

I miss the times when we were bad but we had real leaders ( not Weber leaders ) like Koivu and Kovalev carrying the team against the powerful Boston Bruins

William Nylander, who plays on the Leafs SECOND line, has as many goals in this series as the entire Montreal Canadiens team.
