Mac is ahead of where I was expecting, and he has more than shown he wasn't drafted for his size alone...but he's definitely 2 years away from being in the discussion. He can skate, but he seems a little inconsistent. Not really surprising considering he's never played anywhere near this pace.

We have plenty to look forward to, no need to rush it though.

Agree 100%.

Danny Dubé was pointing that he needs to gain more strenght in his legs and skate a lot to strenghten them.

Did Thomas pot 2 goals? Wasn't aware of that..
Was that the measuring stick? Score two goals in your first game versus the Bruins, against the Krejci line, on a line with White and Moen, or else you're going home?

LL was having a good camp. He didn't have to score a goal or two in first game to remain here.

I have a feeling that it's going to be a long year reading about Thomas comparisons

Ward should be like 100th on the list. I'd probably take Brodeur before him.

Luongo, Price, Holtby, Dubnyk, Smith, and Crawford are all better options.

Fleury and Brodeur, as well.

Honestly though - there is no clear #1 there as far as I'm concerned.

As far as last season is concerned; Holtby, Dubie, and Crawford were the best of the Canadian keepers.

Honestly, if I had any say, I'd be grooming Dubnyk. That guy is a true Canadian and jumps at any chance to wear the Maple Leaf. Splenger Cup, World Championships, everything. Love him.

DD could have had his 3rd point if Pacioretty didn't fan on that! Nice shot by Dietz.

If Collberg could just unleash his wrister...people would be so impressed....Unfortunately, that didn't happen yet.

I really like Prust. He wins his board battles, always makes the smart pass, he's tough and big, and can create chances. He's such a unique player. Screw anyone who says he's not worth that contract!

He's a big difference-maker.
