habs strenghs:
RW is full 1st line to 4th with good to great players
RD
3rd-4th liners
1st line talent

habs weakness:
2nd line LW
2nd line C
top 4 LD (Markov and Emelin are have great seasons so not a big need)

Max is a LW trading him creates another hole at 1st line LW (1st line caliber not the line itself)
Schenn isn't good enough to play 2nd line center
Streit isn't an upgrade on Markov he's far from it

I really don't see a trade with big players only some depth for picks trade or nothing at all

The fact you want the Flyers to retain $4 million is hilarious, considering that isn't even allowed. Additionally that proposal sucks.:laugh:

If the Habs are looking for a top-4 LD to play with Weber, it has to be MDZ who I said a UFA at the end of the season. It's so obvious, I wonder how we got to 4 pages with barely a mention.

Schenn, Del Zotto and Sanheim

For

Pacioretty and Sergachev

A Provorov-Sergachev pairing would be great.

Yaaaa... That ain't happening. Sergachev would require a big piece coming back. Sanheim is good but the Habs brass is super high on him and expect him to the make the jump fast.

...your big piece there appears to be a physical 25 year old forward on a decent contract who has 70 points in his last 96 games (last season and this one). A mobile 26 year old defenseman and another very good D prospect are, I suppose, the throw-ins.

Christ, Sergachev is nice, but the Habs would shove that deal in their pocket and run for the horizon.

I really hope we never trade Sergachev. I think he will be too much valuable starting as soon as next season.....please MB dont do it!

Lotta fans feel that way about D prospects, all a waiting game. I honestly think the Flyers would shrug there, because really for once their positions of strength are D and goalie prospects and outisde of mid-career forwards in Giroux/Voracek/Simmonds/Schenn/Couturier they've got Konecny in the league and Rubstov a ways off and not much else eye-popping at forward. When the D core is ready and one of those goalies in the pipe clicks, that forward corewill be declining or split by FA. Unless the plan would be to acquire a billion D prospects and turn into last season's Predators in 2022, I don't think they'd really want to swap one of their younger good forwards for yet another wait-and-see.

i'm no source to anyone but habs are looking at B.Schenn because we absolutly need another left wing .... we want to part with Plekanec ... Many people will say that pleky isn't worth anything but sure he can haeps young flyers like Couturier to reach another level at FO circle and in PK plays .... perhaps Habs will need to add to acquire B.Schenn but who between Mcarron Hudon Scherbak or even Juulsen could Flyers need or want ...

He's a "center." He's also not very smart. To be a good center you have to be at least somewhat smart. So he's actually a wing who can take faceoffs.

its a match made in heaven, our C is smart but cant take draws ! actually Galchenyuk is slowly getting better at that.

if there is fire to this smoke, it will be interesting as i dont see the flyers needing a whole lot of habs roster players.

Wait why are so many Habs fans willing to move Pacioretty?

he is quite good at shooting, certainly a good 2 way player ... but when it come to give all his heart into the game, his security and self proclamed future is the only option for him .... he won't get shoot for anyone, and here in Quebec we don't respect such a weak mind.

Wait why are so many Habs fans willing to move Pacioretty?

because on most nights he plays like he would literally like to be anywhere else. He has all the talent in the world but just dogs it most nights. Never plays anywhere but the perimeter and once every game or so with throw on hit and then his quota is filled.

He's a first line talent who is moving up and down the lineup because 1) he's not producing 2) he looks and acts completely disinterested. He will play this way for long long stretches and a lot of the points he gets are " lottery" points or his specialty, empty netters.

if he played like he gave a damn he could be a force in the league, but a lot of fans think that ship has sailed.
