Proposal: Habs-Devils-Preds (3 way trade)

[Habs Halifax]

Devils acquire:
* Dach

Habs acquire:
* Nemec
* ROR

Preds acquire:
* Flames 1st from Habs (12-18 range)
* 2nd round Pick (Habs or Pens... early to mid round ish)
* Prospect (one of Beck or Roy)

It's basically Dach for Nemec straight up with the Devils, but the Habs need to be able to bring in ROR to replace Dach so it becomes a 3 way trade.

Sorry but I don't think this is lobsided. You can make an argument that it favors the Habs slightly, but this hole "bandit" narrative is garbage. You guys need to come up with new lines.

You probably think Dach sucks and Nemec is a sure shot top pairing stud. This gives the Devils a big boy at center that skates very well and has not reached his potential yet due to injury setbacks. Nemec does not have #2OA value at this stage. Nemec has 69 NHL games with 20 pts and he's not lighting up the AHL bud. There are risks for trading for Nemec who needs maturity time.

No it isn't, that deal sucks for the Devils.

Dach is 3 years older, has shown to have major injury prblems in the NHL and isn't even having a good season. Nemec's value is comparable to Jiricek's value, Dach is nowhere even close to that.

Dach probably gets moved for at best a 2nd or 3rd.

It is. Nemec could not earn a job with the Devils? Why? Because they are deep at RD and this is correct but what is also correct is Nemec has to develop and none of us know where he tops out at. He's not a sure shot top paring stud. He has top 4D potential. Dach is a little older and more proven and you know what you got. I think non Habs fans are trashing Dach too much. He has 50-60 pts in him for his prime and he is a RFA controlled asset. He's also a big boy that skates very well and has skill.

You can laugh and I don't care. Dach will have similar numbers to Cozens in the next 5-8 years. Bookmark it. Dach has fringe 2C value today at age 24 . You guys are point watching and I can do that with Nemec as well. Dach is a big boy with very good skating and I feel he is going to put up 50-60 pts in his prime and provide a physical edge.

There are risks for the Habs trading Dach for Newhook who has not earned a full time NHL job yet.

Devils are after a center and they get a big boy that skates very well and plays a physical game. I think he fits their needs.

Iff the Devils were to trade Nemec, it would be in acquisition of either established proven talent, or someone of comparable age and situation as Nemec but a different position.

Dach is neither. He’s older but not established-proven. Might he break through and become more than the less-than-half-a-point-a-game forward he is this season? Maybe. But that’s too high risk low reward a gamble to take for a player of Dach’s age.

He's clearly talking about Nemec and Hab fans obsession with trading for him even though he apparently sucks. This isn't even close to the level of player NJ would be looking for if they traded Nemec 1-1.
You can once again attempt to devalue Nemec by pointing out he's in the AHL for this season but it won't change the absolute fact that you are way off in your proposal.

Def not enough for Nemec, if you want Nemec and O'Reilly it would cost way more. For Nemec you would need to start with 1st pick and a C prospect so probably Hage and something more
