No. They are counted separately.Honest question - do shootout goals count as part of players stats? I feel like they shouldn't.
@Adam Michaels: “we got him right where we wanted him.”Trade conditions were dictated by ownership - no $ retention. They handcuffed him pretty bad.
8 years x 7.87 million.
He probably signs this. 5k less than Suzuki.
Monkey Island! Nice.I'd be happy if Laine finds some kind balance within. With that would come also consistency. For Patty The Artist, hell, I'd accept even more limited niche as highly specialized PP-sniper if it brings enough scoring to keep him a 'side of light', and not appearing too detrimental for the team success.
Yeah, that would be still running an engine with only half of cylinders sparking, but what ever improves longevity and consistency would be fine.
Good luck, dear Patrik.
They don't make games like they used to anymoreMonkey Island! Nice.
There's always a trade off when guys are injured. They need to heal properly to become durable again, but at the same time while they lose out on games played, they also don't eat all the wear and tear of "healthy" hockey. Look at Monahan. Once he got healthy, he's been fantastic and he has a ton of miles left IMO.Yes but he’s an old 26
Waddell is gonna get fired for the Laine trade.
I mean, at least try shooting at the netThat 3 on 3 was absolutely brutal. So much focus on puck possession and not enough on actually trying to be creative. Both teams got out of the opponents zone just for the f***ing sake of it. You gained the zone and have no pressure on you, why the f*** are you retreating you dipshits. /end of rant
Laine is a very hot & cold player. There will be times when he goes 5+ games without a point and then explodes for 5 goals in the next 5. I'm a little concerned as well about the 5 on 5 production, but hopefully he gets going soon. He's fun to watch and that shot is always awesome and puts you to the edge of your seatDecent game. Habs played fairly well.
Andy is playing fast and physical and looks good out there (just want to point that out).
I love Laine just like the rest of you but I wouldn't open the vault yet. His 3 goals are all PP, which obviously count as goals still, but I'd like to see a little 5 on 5 production as he ramps his conditioning back up. Again, would never crap on the guy. I wanted to trade for him so bad and was devastated at his injury.
He did hit the post though on a nice play by Slaf. Hopefully that line starts cooking.
Because my tablet automatically translates and I sometimes forget to go back to the original. Why is the post you quoted translated?
0 chance he signs for less than Suzuki. He's already making more than him, and his next contract will only be buying ufa years.
Monahan is actually a great comparison health wise and good example that players can in fact return from injuries to their old self or near old self. Laine is also returning at a younger age - and his injuries were not as severe. Laine also has a higher ceiling than Money. There's always a trade off when guys are injured. They need to heal properly to become durable again, but at the same time while they lose out on games played, they also don't eat all the wear and tear of "healthy" hockey. Look at Monahan. Laine being 26 still gives me hope he'll play well into his 30s, especially when he can shoot like that
The other side of that.............Monty was awful for a few games, and lost them for the team letting in 3-4 goals in the 1st period, so....................we take the good with the bad when it comes to his inconsistency.W is nice, but it's unearned imo. Shots are still a problem. Lucky Monty is at the top of his game at the moment or the last 4 games are a different story entirely.
This is currently his training camp......no worries about him at all. I am amazed his shot is on point already. His skating and game shape will come in time.Laine is a very hot & cold player. There will be times when he goes 5+ games without a point and then explodes for 5 goals in the next 5. I'm a little concerned as well about the 5 on 5 production, but hopefully he gets going soon. OT has been terrible for years. It completely sucks to watch as it currently stands. I hope the idea of not being able to go back past the redline comes to fruition at the GM meetings. It only took 9 nine seasons but NHL coaches have finally managed to ruin 3 on 3 OT.
