I get it...we are 4 games in....but if he keeps this up....how much do you predict we pay Laine. Go 8 years x 10.5?
They won’t pay him that. They’ll have Hutson and then Demidov and Hage to pay with already Suzuki, Caufield and Slaf on long term.

So for real, Columbus had to giveaway Laine? Kind of surreal to win a deal (so far) by a wide margin.

He wanted out AND Columbus was adamant on not retaining any salary. It was a perfect storm in the Habs favor since we have no shortage of cap space.

Cap going up. Hage is at least 4 years away from the end of his ELC. Demidov 3 years. No clue what those guys will make...but I doubt in their early years they eclipse what Laine is doing. Suzuki, Slaf and CC are long term steals with a rising cap. We will have room.

Pretty sure Demidov will be our highest paid player somewhere in the 10. Something.

Heineman and Anderson were both good north south wingers tonight.
I'm ready for Heineman's trial on the first line. Newhook has nothing on him absolutely nothing.

I wonder if heineman can keep up that energy and style with larger minutes and tougher assignments.

Only one way to find out, I suppose.
