Agreed. It's gonna be tough.. but they have him on a reasonable deal for another year, and still have his RFA rights. It will be up to him to figure out how he can contribute, but he won't be relied on to be a 2C anymore.. he may have to invent himself as a middle 6 winger.
We all saw how Hughes deals with contracts. It’s a given that with the excess of forward we will have with Demidov and probably a 2C, if one of Armia or Dvorak is extended, it will be on Habs terms. I agree it will depends on Dach’s status with the team.We already have one 3rd line center in Evans we don't need two. 4th line players on contenders are signed for 700k-900k. Unless Dvorak wants to extend for that kind of money he should be out. People did not learn anything from the last 30 years, Contenders give money to top players and they rotate the depth. We give money to depth and we rotate top players. That's not the way to go.
Extending Armia and Dvorak depends on what they ask and if Dach or Newhook are out. You need to at least free one spot for Demidov so someone has to be out. We can afford a 4th line paid like a 2nd line because we have a young team. Wont always be the case once we start contending the 4th line will have to be paid like a 4th line. Like for Evans KH will ask those guys to accept their role on the ice but in the contract too. If they get greedy either in term or money i doubt KH will budge.
Anderson, yes. But Gally has cooled off considerably since Q1 but at least he's been more disciplined this year and caused less goals to be waived off.Gallagher and Anderson have been amazing all year. They stepped up last night, but they've been clutch the whole season.
I think one of the questions to ask is how ready is our AHL guys to step in in case of injuries. The team has been very lucky health wise this season. Knock on wood. So that kind of depth is important. I don't disagree with you but you need to have a decent guy #14-16 on depth chart to step inWe already have one 3rd line center in Evans we don't need two. 4th line players on contenders are signed for 700k-900k. Gally has played pretty good hockey this whole season tho, even when the points dried up. That whole line has been quite consistent this whole season.Anderson, yes. I think both the team and Gally would benefit of occasional healthy scratch during back to backs.Gally has played pretty good hockey this whole season tho, even when the points dried up. That whole line has been quite consistent this whole season.
Uh, you mean Montreal! We need calgary to draft 11th
That two week break did wonders for him. When healthy/rested, he's still impactful. He's still the biggest warrior on our team and if he needs a week off here or there moving forward, he's earned it.I think both the team and Gally would benefit of occasional healthy scratch during back to backs.
Obviously we wont we already have the best prospect outside the NHL coming next season and Hughes already pretty much confirmed hes looking at a #2 center it was obvious the Habs were gonna be quiet at deadline but watch out for HuGo this offseason trades will happen we have assets and cap to make a splashWe look better only if we make room. If we keep the team as is we don't..
Of course. If we gonna make the playoffs then Calgary giving us a 11th overall would be a blessing.Uh, you mean Montreal!
I just like pointing out their idiocy, it's amusingImo, they've always been that annoying lil brother who followed us around everywhere.
Totally agreed, get pick number 11 and 32 and I'm in peace with our season.Of course. If we gonna make the playoffs then Calgary giving us a 11th overall would be a blessing.
Was the same story last year after his suspensionThat two week break did wonders for him. When healthy/rested, he's still impactful. He's still the biggest warrior on our team and if he needs a week off here or there moving forward, he's earned it.
1)Im stating the obvious. We sabotaged ourselves for a good portion of the season by forcing a square into a triangular hole.
Can't enjoy the win without adding a nonsense take about a player that isn't even playing... This is why we can't have nice things.
Fyi perhaps if you watched the game you'd have seen that the team rallied despite a very weak goal putting them behind in the third period. Double fail in one post, bravo.
He almost f***ed our seasonI have it on good authority that Dach f***ed his mom, sister and girlfriend.
We all like to shit on Dvorak. But lets be honest here. He is 3 times the player Dach is. And yet we all want guys like Dvorak and Anderson gone. Look at the shit our fanbase gave Drouin who was actually good. Dach deserves nothing from this teamYou just helped me remember why Roy was in the lineup and who he’s replacing….swear to God I forgot all together about Dach![]()
It's convenient you ignore Dach being there for first hot streak and actually producing too. Dach didn't have a good year there is no denying that but your stance is so Simone Biles esque mental gymnastics. He almost f***ed our season
Hot streak of putting up easy points. He at not point this year looked like anything more that a 3rd liner. It's convenient you ignore Dach being there for first hot streak and actually producing too. We need more depth then, can't put Pezz in. Hopefully next year Tuch and maybe Davidson will be readyLoad management for Gallagher is exactly what needs to happen. I think he would absolutely buy into it, knowing he will play the important games
Those points came from goals so how can those be easy?Hot streak of putting up easy points. He at not point this year looked like anything more that a 3rd liner.
He should be booted for guys that want to be here and can actually play hockey
I think trying to make Savard a top 4 at his age was WAY more negatively impactful than Dach. When we acquired Carrier and downgraded Savard into the 3rd pairing it made the team much better.1)Im stating the obvious. Dach is a mid player and management should’ve acknowledged this earlier instead of waiting for that waste of ice time to go down naturally.
2) I have no idea what point you’re trying to make on my goaltending point. The team rallied yes, but big picture is. We can’t let those kind of goals continue to go in if we are serious about A) playoffs and B) a run.
I made that comment not as criticism, but as an observation on what we need to continue to have success.
Stop hating on people that were right about Dach being trash. We are all on the same side here.
