He literally did a 360 on himself because he didn’t know what he was supposed to do.

He’s not playing in Finland, the NHL is literally a game of inches if you take too much time to take a decision the chance is gone.

He’s still processing the game too slowly which is highlighted by his last play on the powerplay.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Slafkovsky but people here are romanticizing 3-4 plays a game like it’s something he isn’t expected to do. He should be able to do more and more consistent pace then what he’s doing right now.

Compared to last year, he is getting more puck touches and having better moments but is that really enough for him to truly become what he needs to become ?

I said many times before he was drafted that the guy just thinks too slow, he processes things way too slowly to be effective in the NHL. Tons of scouting reports did the same thing. You have to be nuts if you thought his long puck possessions along the boards would translate to the NHL.

I am so grateful that I saw so many great Habs players and so many great Habs teams. That ship has truly sailed. The damaged caused by Ron Corey when he hired Houle was the beginning of the end for this franchise. I feel bad for Habs fans who can only read about the once greatness of this organization.
At least I got to experience Saku Koivu and Alexei Kovalev. We haven’t had better forwards in 15 years.

So hard to watch. Just can't get anything going offensively and bleeding chances against.

Slaf really lacks situational awareness.

No need to skate towards marner when Mailloux on him. That's hockey 101.

Then he gets a nice move in but is clueless what to do next. While he thinks the defender recovers
It makes no sense to keep him here. None whatsoever.

Ottawa didn't really use any skilled players, but all 3 teams the Habs have played have skill, but the Habs move a shit ton before they even move the puck around.

At least Xhekaj does something, which is better than nothing.

I’ve liked Dach’s work around the ice he’s winning a lot of battles but hard to create much in his position.
