I think the amount of weight that we put on players being friends with each other (or not) is way overblown.

It means practically zero to roster construction. Players are professionals and care more about winning.

Unfortunately the problem stems from Frankie. He’s the dummy that has no vision or intelligence to understand that Gillis was the best thing to happen to this franchise. All he had to do was back him and tell the fans he was standing by him.

Instead he decided a literal halfwit was a better plan, and kept him around 8 yrs too many.

I was responding to the suggestion that anyone with value should be traded. Which is a dumb suggestion.
