If anything I'd think this would spur the Rangers to up their offer and get the Miller trade done. After today, it's hard to see who can compete in the East with the Canes.

Canes took aim at Pettersson last year and missed, kicked the tires again this year, and actually ended up with Rantanen.

And Sakic did with Rantanen what Allvin should have done with Pettersson last year.
