Mittlestadt .. ..
Miller & MacK in the West for the next few years would be a nightmare.

Not to mention we'd be left with obviously the softest weakest centers in the league, maybe of all time.

JT is still here because every team is trying to pry him loose for as little as possible. While they just don't want to deal Pettersson considering Carolina offered us Necas and we turned them down last season.

What do you suppose they do? Retain on Miller just to get a deal done with New York? Cause that's all we have right now.

No kidding, and more in 49 games this year than EP40 has in his last 82 regular season games. Should have made the Canes deal when it was on the table last year.

50% retained Rantanen is just a straight up way better deal to make than acquiring EP or JT. Can’t fault management for not having an asset as valuable as Rantanen available to trade.

what did they wait for on Dickenson, lol? he only played 62 games and 1 season in Vancouver and Allvin traded him in October months after getting hired. And they jumped the all-star game to trade Horvat rather then wait until the deadline.

Carolina got theirs. Rangers have been lowballing us for a month.

Hold on to both players until the summer and re-assess the offers when teams can make cap space.

It would be so on brand for the Canucks if Allvin and Rutherford decided to pull the trigger now (after it's already too late) and ended up with a lacklustre return.

Wait till we had the “cheapest” possible out.
I think they are willing to wait till somebody meets their price. I don’t think they will jump the gun if nobody has met the price they want.
