It's funny, I was just reading an article this morning on Sportsnet about Rantanen's contract demands (Draisaitl money) and the possibility that Colorado might have to move him if he wasn't signed before the deadline. Apparently they had already decided that it was a no-hope situation.Holy smokes. Didn't see a Rantanen trade coming.
Which would be the smartest thing to do.I think Miller is probably going to get traded in the offseason to some emotional team ripe off a playoff loss.
If anything I'd think this would spur the Rangers to up their offer and get the Miller trade done. After today, it's hard to see who can compete in the East with the Canes.rangers offer downgraded from chytil and lindgren to brodzinski and jones
With an increase in retention from the Canucks.rangers offer downgraded from chytil and lindgren to brodzinski and jones
Guess this is what the earlier Brough tweet was referring to. Back to the drawing board..
Canes and Avs are well run teams.
Canes took aim at Pettersson last year and missed, kicked the tires again this year, and actually ended up with Rantanen.
And Sakic did with Rantanen what Allvin should have done with Pettersson last year.
