Yeah. Especially considering Jokinen can play RW. Why force one player out of position when you have a perfectly valid option in the same freaking line. Jalonen is a massive moron. He's my neighbor, I have to give him some feedback when he comes back.

Good shift because Laine was playing left side there. Why on earth do they force him to play secondary wing for good of Jussi Jokinen who has done absolutely nothing in this tournament so far outside one good pass.

The thing is, jokinen can play c or both wings so they could put laine where he's best.

Laine and Matthews are so fun to watch. Every time they shoot you feel like it's going in. Both of their shots will be among the elite as soon as they play their first game in the NHL.

Laine didn't have much ice time in the 2nd period because of all the penalties. Barkov plays all the 4v4 with Jokinen.

Wow, that was a some end of a period! Huge chances both ways. Eventually Laine will get the ice time he needs and earns. There's no point to overuse him yet. Laine has made some big mistakes too, so the kid is still learning. You've got to earn it in every game, in every shift. Huge 3rd coming I think. Will be hungry.

Matthews is so fluid and intelligent, beautiful to watch.

That shift is what we are used of seeing him and perfect shift to show he only doesn't have a shot.
Jalonen had a great chance in the 1st 2 games to get that line going well but he missed that and insists Laine playing on his weaker side, drives me insane.

I want to win this tourney and these guys need to be at their best and their strenghts need to be used.

Team USA has played pretty well since Finland went up 2-0. Larkin and Matthews are so much better than their teammates. They always know what they want to do but guys like Schroeder just don't have the skill level to do anything with their great passes. Numerous times Schroeder has gotten great passes and did nothing with it. Matthews and Larkin would be putting up monster numbers if they had more skilled teammates.

This thread has gone exactly like I hoped I didn't want a bunch of troll comments and was hoping for the Laine camp to appreciate Matthews game and the Matthews camp to appreciate Laines game and so far so good. Both amazing talents and both perfect fits for the teams that will draft them
