I'm not impressed at all of this finnish team today. They are so sloppy!:shakehead

The reason may be the opponent. Against Canada they can't afford to play like that also against Slovakia not.
But they will have to play anyway against Sweden the quarterfinal as they will finish most likely as second the preliminary round and Sweden third in their group.

Terrible this koskinen. Whats wrong with the Staff?
Why they let him Play? Four games and he was four times Not with out any mistakes

I'm the opinion KJ should try it in the game against Canada with Saros in the goal. Against Canada I don't think they have any chance with Koskinen in the goal because you have to count at least with one blooper or more.

Against Canada we will see both goalies...

Just a question to the Finns: are there no good coaches in Finland? Because you Finns reproach the coach practically by every whc bad coaching of the team no matter who stands behind the boards for the finnish NT.
We do have many good coaches in Finland. More than average, I'd say. The results we've been posting over the years do not come with bad coaches, especially given our usual player material.

Some people just like to [female dog] and moan whenever the coach makes decisions that does not agree with their personal perspective. Sometimes it's justified, sometimes it's extremely prejudiced since there's no way to have the same picture through the TV screen as the coach does on location.

I have to say though, our current coach seems to be somewhat more puzzling than his predecessors.

Hietanen shoots himself when he could pass to Laine :/

I've also noticed that about Hietanen. It wasn't only this game but on power plays and with Laine he sometimes takes the shot when Laine is open and sometimes when Laine passes to Hietanen, Hietanen has a chance to pass back to Laine for an open one timer but Hietanen instead is totally tunnel visioning his pass to the next guy.

Hietanen is a great defender but his creativitity could be little bit better on the PP.

Laine is now making those counter hits with the puck in every game at corners. I'm actually pretty sure Barkov teached that to him, he is such a good guy he would teach Pate.

Laine actually does the reverse/counter hits with more power than Barkov which is impressive but Barkov is just a possession beast with his body, length of stick, stick handling and shielding of the puck he does not need to resort to reverse hit that often.

Not worried...even they have trouble scoring Finns totally dominated. With better luck it would have been ugly. They need to get rid of the fancy passes and grind andplay more simple and skate the other teams down.
