GDT: Group A - May 15 - Germany vs Slovakia

The Canadian coach didnt let those goals in and there was nothing he could have done to prevent Draisatl making mincemeat out of your team on that sequence.

But i guess some people have to go all political I suppose, any excuse to grab on.

This loss is on the players.
 
I mean, if Slovakia wins all the rest (which is quite doable), that's 12 points. If Germany loses all the rest (which is quite possible), that's 11 points...

Same goes for my neighbours. But i think they don't care.
Right to me are students and the german-dutch family to the right is very nice.
And the rest are retirees ;D

But f*** yeah we won, i can go to bed happy.
 
I am f***ing done with our hockey, just f*** you. I seriously wish we stopped participating in this god forsaken f***ing tournament, so I can enjoy it in peace.

Germany is on 12 points, they can't be caught up to anymore due to head to head tiebreaker. There is no realistic chance Germany misses the QFs.

Slovakia likely will win the remaining games in regulation (although even that is far from certain vs. Denmark), putting them at 12 pts. The USA could (very, very remotely) miss if they only get four points from the next three games - something like a L to Canada, OTL to Germany and W vs Denmark as they would sit even with Slovakia at 12 but lose the tiebreaker.

Congratulations to the Slovaks, strong performance by them. I hope they are able to bounce back - we simply need the host to reach the QF. :thumbu:

Ramsay post game will say great result, and hopes for similar performance as our youth team. Oh wait we got relegated

It does not make sense. Germany called timeout and they sent their best players to the ice. You want your best defenders to defend against the opponent best players.
 
To all people hating on Ramsey, his team is playing way better than expected and is on the receiving end of some rotten luck. Not only that, 3 points after those 4 games isn't even a bad result, it's a realistic result. It only hurts because a) some people have inflated ambitions; b) Slovakia was pretty damn close to success which Ramsey himself created
