And even an early goal by Denmark is not needed. We will be desperate as such.
Yes, on the other hand, we might play absolutely relaxed, hence perhaps even destroy the Danes.
But I am afraid the former is more realistic.
Although I’m not German, Czech actually, they will play against Russia, not us, we get to play USA I think.

Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Our ability to completely fold under the slightest bit of pressure is remarkable. I mean, it wasn't even a must-win game, all they had to do was to not lose in regulation

You are hosting a great tournament. Tons of people in the stands. Your team is way better than the rest of us thought, at least in my eyes, and I go out on a limb and speak for everybody here (probably should have been a politician, after all.

This match was important to me not only because of this particular tournament but also olympics. I drank too much to search for information and calculate, what is our possibility to get to olypmics now? I am not a big fan of anything on ski, biatlon and stuff so if we don't advance to winter olympics, it doesn't exist to me

NHL players were actually allowed to participate in the qualifiers for the first time previously (despite not being allowed to play in the actual Olympics). The top 8 teams qualify automatically and China will most likely be awarded a spot as the host of the event so three spots should be awarded through the qualifiers.

Slovaks didnt score goals against germany, no goal in 5on5. Thats all. If there was no 5on3 PP they might have scored no goal at all. It was pretty close game. It is little tough for slovaks they didnt get any point in last 3 games but in such short tournament this happens. I wouldnt be worried about this tournament they play solid hockey. Slovaks should worry about how they don't produce enough talent in their youth hockey system.

I think you are overreacting a fair bit. I recall the times when I first started posting on here, back then it looked like the only good prospects we had were Tatar and Panik and this was back when most people didn't believe Tatar would even make it to the NHL.
We definitely have more prospects depth these days than we had back then. Even if most of them don't pan out in the NHL, many of them still have a good chance to make decent careers in top European leagues. Which can only benefit the NT in the long run. We are kind of in the middle of a rebuild (even if it has been unsuccessfully going for 10 years, haha), but this year I finally have the feeling like it might be going somewhere.
Of course, you can't just expect a return of the early 2000s, the game has changed since then and there just is more competition these days than there was back then. But realistically there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to compete for a QF spot at the this tourney, even if we miss it out by 1 point.
Slovaks simply didn't bring the same fire and spirit they had against Canada. If the played like that they would have easily beaten this pedestrian German team. Still this isn't far from over. If Slovakia wins the next three games they could still make it to the quaterfinals with a little luck.
Best chance is USA to lose against Germany and Canada, with Slovaks winning all the remaining games. Assuming USA wins against Denmark, it would mean SVK 12, USA 11. So Slovakia can leave one point on table as they would win tie-breaker against USA (with no other teams in it)
Ouch, gotta sting to lose in front of the home crowd like that, have too feel a little bad for the SLO fans and players.
