Man up. What makes Canada the kings of hockey is our rugged rough nose playing style. This isnt the ****in ballet, this is hockey.

Okay. When Ritchie takes a 10min major in the semis to cost Canada gold because he stuck up for a teammate then it'll be all good. If you could stop sucking Virtanen you'd see it wasn't that bad of a hit and didn't warrant him acting tough.

Terrific game. Take away Moron's bonehead give away and it's 4 - 0 and we don't surrender a goal.

Puljujärvi looks just as good if not better than Mcdavid and Eichel at same age in WJC despite not being on the scoresheet. He is basically only one on finnish team who is capable of carrying puck to the offensive zone with Honka.

If not for Sam Morin's idiotic gaffe this should have been a shutout. Get Morin off this team - he's been useless.

This was his first bad game and outside of that horrendous giveaway he was more than fine. His minutes have been under appreciated on this board.

Are you guys going to get relegated if the Slovakia/Germany game makes you guys last place

We'll, most likely not. I hope.

Also the next years tourneé is in Finland also, it'd suck if the host is not represented.

ps.

Cannot watch the GER-SVK game as the clock is almost 6 in the morning already here in Europe...

LOL at the bleeding hearts crying over Virtanen sticking up for his teammate. Cry me a friggin' river.

This isn't public skating.

****ing hilarious, this is exactly what this team has lacked the last few tournaments. Team looks as strong as they have in a long time and they're actually playing with some heart.

Guys. Virtanen clearly did something wrong. You can't just go around punching people. That was easily worth 1 penalty minute, MAYBE even TWO!

Misspelling words while bringing down someone's knowledge of the game. Real classy. Also, what you're saying is simply not true. There is a huge difference to the team between sticking up for a teammate and doing something stupid for no reason.

This team is playing as a TEAM. They care. They care about each other. They stick up for the CAPTAIN. This is hockey. This is canadian hockey. This is why we have been so good for so long. We have skill, we care and we play physical.

What he did was not only good for the team but it was smart.

Except it wasn't smart. I have seen refs throw a guy out for that, and it can potentially lead to supplementary discipline.

We need Virtanen against the Americans. There was no need to punch the Finnish guy. No need at all.

With IIHF refs, yes. In any other league, not at all, but he's gotta realize these guys will call literally anything.

Except the clear hit from behind that preceded the additional rough stuff?

If Lazar is hurt that is likely a suspension under the IIHFs stupid "if he skates it off intent doesnt matter" rulebook.

If the officials arnt going to protect Lazar from serious injury, I'm glad Virtanen sent a message.

Yes, yes and yes again.

Ringuette is on tv in a few hours. Maybe you should turn it on and watch pansies on ice.

This is hockey.

Chemistry isn't built on taking stupid punches, it's by making plays.

You really don't have a clue do you? It's deflating to see teammates stand around chewing their mouth guards when you've been cheap shotted. Virtanen did what a good teammate should do. Didn't drop the gloves, didn't even give Finland a PP. You're looking for reasons to crap on Virtanen and this one is a stretch to say the least.

There was 3 minutes left in a 4-1game... who gives a ****

Bettmans brainwashing is working. The fans are starting to turn soft.

Exactly, it's unnecessary after the initial "hey **** you that's my teammate." Say we go on the PK and Finland pulls their goalie...now we're in a really ****** position.

I love the "anyone who doesn't agree with me is soft!" line, it automatically wins arguments :help:

Groulx doesn't trust him and rightfully so. Moron has been given sparing minutes this game. He was getting beat by the speedy fins. Wouldn't surprise me if he is benched the next game. No way he can keep up with the speed of the Americans.
