Are Canadian hockey fans turning THAT soft, that sticking up for your captain with 4 gloves punches are looked upon?

Common now folks, man up a bit. The only person he'd be hurting is himself if he gets suspended...I for one, respect sticking up for yourself, especially after a hit like that.

Good game by team Finland, 100% effort but level difference is just too much. Expected result, maybe the numbers are a bit closer than I would've thought, but Canada certainly looked strong and could've scored more. Good for Finland to get a high tempo game under the belt before facing the main opponent. Congrats to Canada!

oooooooooooohhhhhhhh Caaaaaaahhhnaaaaaaaahhhdaaaaaaaaahhhh

we stand on guard for thee

It's dumb to take the risk

Hockey is full of risks. Sticking up for a teammate when leading 4-1 with 5 minutes left is on the low side. That's how teams come together and build chemistry. I was glad to see him get in there and can't believe the wining from some of you.

Really? Twenty guys are patting him on the back right now and saying way to go.

That makes teams.

We need that.

If he rammed a guy from behind, a complete illegal hit and got away with it, there would still be twenty guys to pat him on the back.

What makes teams isnt always what is smart

Good win. One thing we're seeing from this team is that they score goals in bunches when the score is close. Like someone else said, this team seems to have that killer instinct.

Finland's defense isn't as good as last year, that's pretty clear now. Honka is decent, but it seems that anybody else can't start the rush. We also have a 5"8 defender playing. Very hard to play against the big, offensively skilled teams.

Puljujärvi seemed angry at the end of the game. Went for two big hits and rushed the puck up like there's no tomorrow. Really like him.

So- who do you guys want in net against USA, Comrie or Fucale? I was 100% behind starting Comrie for Team USA, but i am not sure of that right now after this game. What do others think?

Your clueless.

Neither is your response, because I frankly can't figure out what the hell you are talking about.

Any team I have ever played with worth its salt sticks up for each other. Period.

If one of my guys takes a dumb penalty, I say, "No more dumb penalties, boys!"
