I like the tournament, but there are people who need a massive reality check.

There is no need to "hate" kids playing for their country.

What you need to decide is why you hang out in an HF thread, where people who think they know a lot keep proving they don't.
There is no 'ignore' function that filters stupid posts, unfortunately.
The hockey is great entertainment, and you have to take the bad (stupid posters who rip players ad-nauseum in their complete ignorance) with the good.

Contrary to most comments on here, I'm pretty confident with Canada's goaltending. I'd go Comrie based on his play this game against the toughest opponent. But both have been solid and I'd be fine with either one.

Sound advice. Just feels like the point cannot be made enough haha.

You can comment on the game without bashing the kids playing it.

Sweden is Russia's kryptonite as Russia is Canada's kryptonite as Canada is USA's kryptonite on the New Year's game.

It really is a revolving cycle.

Can anyone tell me hats wrong with Point...he hasnt played a shift???
No clue, I liked him in the early tournament games, seemed like an offensive sparkplug that could slot in at a lot of different spots in the lineup and provide instant offense. I dunno the last time I saw him on the ice though.

I'm glad tsn toned down their coverage from all "quest for gold" and heroic like profiles of all the players. Just let the kids play and don't make too big a deal out of it. Maybe it was the losing streak that did it but they've definitely toned down the sensationalism from where it was at a few years ago in my opinion.

Does TSN have the games on demand on their website this year? I can only find the highlights of previous games.

I'd like to watch this game tomorrow.

Agreed. Just enjoy watching these kids play their hearts out for something that means a lot to them. The allure of this tournament used to be that it was for the love of the sport and the love of the sport in this Country.
