Hasnt played the last two games. Havent heard of anything being wrong with him. I guess they just chose not to use the 13th forward and just roll with four lines.

Im hoping he gets in for the QF game. Some guys should be coming out. (Gauthier)

morin made 1 error in the finland game. He was Great today.

Throughout this tournament he has been Canada's number 1 Pker and yet he is still not relied upon to protect the lead. What canada is doing with their Ice time is very odd to say the least.
 
My opinion on Lazars goal is that it was an iffy goal. it could have gone either way.

Goalie interference is not reviewable, so they were only reviewing whether the goal was kicked or punched in. It was hard to tell how the puck got in the net even with all the different angles.

If the call on the ice was a good goal, then they would need definitive evidence that the puck was kicked in or punched in. From all the angles i saw, there really was no definitive evidence that it was not a good goal.
 
What has impressed me about Reinhart is how coordinated he is, and how quickly he gets it all together. Just very fast. He rarely is caught with the puck while trying to decide what to do.
 
Domi had a good game but do people really think he deserved player of the game over Reinhart? domi's goals were tap in open nets because of Reinhart.

Good description. Really love this kid. It helped that he was going up against Brandon Carlo all night, but he looked very good. People get on his case because he isn't flashy like Domi, but Reinhart is awesome.


On the other hand, McDavid was a total pissbaby tonight.

Reinhart earned it, I agree.
Domi did a lot more than just tap the puck in, though, IMO. He drove a lot of play.
 
Reinhart was matched against Eichel the whole game I think and that's a big reason why Eichel wasn't visible, he was in his own end.

Well having Hicketts and Heatherington out there was a derp move, but Morin shouldn't have been out there either. Not surprising Hicketts was out there with Lowry coaching on the team.

You go with Nurse and Morrissey if your looking to close out a game. Or if you don't want to split the D pairs up

1# Nurse-Theodore

2# Morrissey-Bowey

Sure Morin's been solid on the P.K, but so has Gauthier. It's clear he can't be relied on like the other guys.

5 on 5 the top two pairings are in another category than the bottom 3 guys.

Morin and Heatherington made the team as shut down dmen. If you cant put them out there to protect a lead late in games they shouldnt be on the team period.

I was saying Heatherington shouldn't have made this team from the start.

He's a solid shutdown guy in the WHL as it's a lower overall level of competition compared to the world juniors, I just don't see that extra gear in him to be a shutdown guy at this level.

Choosing Hicketts as a primary shutdown guy is just a mistake but he wasn't getting cut with Lowry coaching. And he's been super impressive this year in the WHL offensively and defensively , very disappointed with his play.

Morin has been worse than those two from what Ive seen.

I had to squint while watching the Finland game to see if it was Steve Smith or Sam Morin.
