It looks sunny....is that the rink at the West Edmonton Mall, where there is sunlight, I think?
Could be. That photo would be probably April 1986. 1985-86 is the only season when Gretzky, Kurri, Coffey, and Anderson (but not Messier) hit 100+ points.

(If it's at West Edmonton Mall, it's just weeks before the disastrous roller coaster crash there that killed three people.)

EDIT: Checking game logs, Anderson hit 100 points (the last of four to do so) on March 25th 1986, when the Oilers were at Detroit. It was a long road trip, and it was probably March 30th when they flew back to Edmonton (for a home game on April 2nd, vs. Vancouver). Thus, the most likely date of this photo is March 31st or April 1st, 1986.)

One of those little things that changes over the years... it's amazing how far cake-making has come since fondant became the frosting of choice.

If they did something like that today, it would look completely different.

It would be a life size replica of Gordie. And probably have a motor in it so it throws elbows
