Did you miss Ras taking Baby Ruth off the ice on two separate occasions?

And Chia took a vicious roughing penalty on Greig as well, later in the game.... /s
Real vicious, lol.

And I'm glad Raz stood up for Seider/Walman, but that was purely a hugging match:

Sometimes I wonder what you're watching. Or maybe I should be wondering what you're smoking while watching hockey.

You can't be that boomer to not know the meaning of /s...

Ras got him off the ice, I'd rather he not Mantha himself in the process. And it was DeBrincat that went after Baby Ruth, not the other way round.

To add to norrisnick, watch that third period of the Columbus game again. Sillinger took DeBrincat to the boards harder than necessary, and before the Sillinger's shift ended, Kostin plastered him for it, which then caused the scrap with Gudbranson.

Having a tough guy can still have some value. We needed it last year badly and now it seems we have it. Add that to the multitude of reasons why this team is improved.

Watch the freakin' videos dude, I posted them for a reason. That scrum happens when Tkachuk pokes at Reimer and Ray is actually the first one in. The entire point was about his shananigans.

I like Kostin. I'm arguing for more of that, so I have no idea what your point is. Kostin is not Czarnik, Fischer or Burger. Quite the opposite.

And I like how Kostin approached that. He didn't start a fight with Sillinger, he decked him with a clean legal hit.

It's funny how people are saying "you don't pay the price anymore in the NHL" when Gudbranson went right after Kostin.

Ras got him off the ice on two separate occasions. I'm not sure what else you are wanting here. Should he McSorley/Brashear him? Bertuzzi/Moore? What sort of excessive BS will satisfy you?

Just trying to add a reference point was the objective.

It does send a message to the league, you try running our little goal scoring machine, you are going to have to deal with Kostin coming for you.

If you think that's paying the price, sure. I would disagree. There's plenty of guys who hit but never fight. Kronwall was one of the biggest hitters in the league and I'm not sure he ever dropped the gloves. Do you think Rasmus Andersson will be assaulted like Claude Lemieux when he returns to the lineup and plays Columbus next?

Watch the crosscheck before Mantha starts the fight. You didn't watch the whole video obviously.

And of course Kasper isn't dirty, those SHL hugging matches all started because of love.
You think that lovetap crosscheck is dirty?

Kasper is a pest who gets into players faces. Yeah, that'll get him into scrums.

What do you think paying the price means? It means you have to fight, and that was a legit gloves off fight. It doesn't mean a Bertuzzi-Moore incident, it means you have to be willing to fight to play dirty./

As for the lovetap, I have no idea what you are watching. Mantha goes face first into the glass. Of course he's gonna be pissed. Kasper's lucky Mantha is too lazy to finish a fight. Please don't respond unless you're gonna watch the damn video.

Getting a player off the ice isn't paying the price, a punch in the face is.

Raz did the best he could, and I commend him. But let's not act like he knows how to fight. When he learns then we'll be in agreement. He still needs to work on leveraging, you really don't want to take down a guy and be on the bottom.

I think we just have different standards for what dirty is. Mantha also seemed more upset about the stick between the legs than the initial push.

Kasper will be fine playing as a pest.

The league and it's players tolerates way smaller, way more annoying players than him (Bunting, Bertuzzi, Marchand, etc.) without having a "big mean tough guy" to back them up; and all of them are still alive and pretty sure don't have 200 PIM in Fighting Majors every season and aren't constantly on IR from all the mean punches to their face.

Kasper, and Carter Mazur (!), both play an aggravating style of hockey, very similar to Bert attitudinally. They will all be just fine.

I'm sorry, but that was a super light push from behind, not some dirty hit. This pic makes it look like way more than it is. He hardly touched Mantha.

It wasn't a hard push, but enough to get Mantha off balance and go face first into the glass. If Mantha was still on this team, you'd be pissed.

If Larkin got shoved into the glass you'd be whining for a call. You know it. And calling the player a dirty $%^er that needs a punch in the face.

But yeah, the stick in the legs kinda sealed the deal. I agree with that. Mantha is even lazier than he was with the Wings, it takes more to motivate him to fight, and he was too lazy to finish the fight. I'm happy to be rid of him even if the return was damaged goods (Vrana), hopefully Cossa makes up for it.

Anyways, crosschecking from behind into the glass is dirty, and the refs should have called that. Not to mention that there's a reason why Kasper keeps getting into scrums. I really don't think that part of his game will translate at all. It's like when I said Sebrango needs to bulk up if he wants to play that game, and he never did. Kasper's gonna need at least 10 - 15lbs. (yeah, I get he weighs more than Marchand, but the kid is not Marchand.)

Not on that play I wouldn't be. One of our guys just had this happen a few games ago and I was like a little ugly, but not that big a deal as accidents happen.

That was a terrible demonstration of balance on Mantha's part. He'd have gone face-first into the glass if Kasper had farted on him. And then Mantha would have fought a fart.

I wish that had happened.

Kasper isn't a fighter, this is a weird thread. Goons don't deter players from doing dirty goon things. What is even going on.

This thread has everything: skill players fighting, potato quality photos, old videos, and Belfs. Belfs are those players that are small like an elf and wear buckets on their heads.

Looking at the boxscore... Did the fans cost the Griffs a point for throwing shit on the ice when they tied it late? Anyone watch it?
