Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. We got through the trade deadline with all kids still in the system.
That's a solid win for me, and I'm liking the fact that so far Drury is showing commitment to keeping them too.

The opening segment of TMKS was a roller coaster. I agreed with Don’s premise that we had a good deadline but literally everything he said made me want to pull my hair out. How does that cat have a hockey podcast?
I love seeing other GMs talk to the press with videos on YouTube about the deadline. Where is Drury,'s press conference, in some newspaper like its 1994? No video on Rangers YouTube or Twitter.

Both Wennberg and Roslovic are legit NHL'ers and will slot in areas of need.
Didn't break the bank for either player and got retention on both.

MSG doesn't even have anything about the deadline and what Drury did. Watch we will get a 10 second video clip tomorrow during pregame. Rangers really should take advantage of the media and talk to them when things happen. The leadership from Drury sucks

Makes sense - most f this core are Gorton's people. I'm guessing they are slowly going to be replaced with Drury's people.

A-, no game breakers but some really good value additions. Every add that is made makes the team deeper and more versatile and they were already a good team. I think it's been understated how Wennberg and Roslovic are going to help and no more Brodzinski centering the 3rd line. Kept the first and all prospects. Sometimes if the trades aren't there they aren't there. He may be able to make some hockey trades during the summer. Very good job by Drury.

Since I look at C as “average” where you neither really improve nor do harm, and A as making a REAL major positive change, I gave him a solid B.
Held onto every significant future/asset in the cupboard and I can see him adding to it in the off-season.
Shored up some weak areas without giving up much of anything:
Got some scoring for Hartford which may help those kids see more AHL playoff experience. I’m a real fan of this move, minor as it may seem in the scheme of things.
Got Ruhwedel for a 4th four drafts away, basically NOTHING, and he’s a legit bottom pairing NHL Dman, shrewd move with Trouba dealing with injury.
Got Wennberg pretty cheap, a fine 3C who will slot in there nicely and move Brodz to the 4th.
Got Roslovic, a middle six forward that can slot in several places and not be a disaster. He may even get a jump start from the change of scenery. And got him 50% retained for a 4th next year. Seems like a steal.
Didn’t lose any prospects or important picks and added depth. Depth is a necessity for a successful playoff run. So, again, a nice solid B.

No worries, bud. I didn’t hear about it till after the deadline passed. It may have been by design. Hahaha.
Aside from Jovo who is a meme and would have voted A had they picked up one of DeAngelo or Lemieux off of waivers would love to hear the rationale of anyone else who voted F.

Much happier about roslovic’s upside. Guy can fly. Righty shot and has gotten hot since healing from the ankle injury. He was first star last time we played them in Columbus and has always loved NYC. One of the few guys that can skate with Mika and Kreider. You’re looking for another vatrano situation here of course.
But I’m not going to pretend to be happy that we didn’t go hard for buchnevich after missing on guentzel. That deal was there. You look at Vegas and these trades can be made if you have any balls. Worrying about late first rounders just a joke. Who cares.
There’s just no creativity and this league needs it. We need it.
But I like wennberg. I like ruhwedhl solid guy and I like the speed and upside roslovic can bring leaving Columbus. I think he’s going to be shot out of cannon coming here. We’re def a better team today.

Saturday night primetime tomorrow at MSG is the perfect context for this final push to start. Im very satisfied with the deadline and ready for the playoffs.
Here’s the other thing I like.
There is no bending to make new stars happy. These are role players that are here to compliment our existing team. This chemistry should not be messed with

Colorado completely redid their team Vegas too. That’s a lot of moving parts with 20 games to go.

Guentzel is going to be a shell of himself being ripped from PIT in the way that he was. Never even got a goodbye from the fans. Brutal business but I dont see an easy adjustment for him. And will the Canes ever learn that these bad personalities? Waiving DeAngelo and Pepe to turn around and add Kuznetsov to play for a team that is willing to give him even less responsibility. Theyll have a tough time with an Islanders team getting hot at the right time.
They'll breeze through the Islanders if they play them.
Red hot isles are going to go ice cold soon. It's been their MO all season.
