Awesome win. Hard to imagine that’s the same team we’ve been watching the last two weeks. Solid effort.
Lafreniere, Kakko and Chytil all scoring in the same game is great to see.
Trouba-Miller looked solid again for the second straight game.
Schneider had another good game, he’s really looked good lately. Doing a good job anchoring that 3rd pair at such a young age.
PP was going again. It’s amazing what Panarin can do for the PP and for his own game at 5v5 when he’s willing to shoot the puck.
These lines are overall good. I want Kravtsov in with Panarin and Chytil and Goodrow at 4C but the 1st and 3rd lines are solid and the 4th line is solid even with Brodsz on it. Having lines that can roll like that and have good shifts 5v5 is massive. Let’s hope gallant keeps them going on these lines. Laf-Mika-Kakko needs to stay together.

Not that long ago, Laf doesn't score there. Accepts an off-target pass, settles it down, waits for the Knight dominos to drop and start sizzling like bacon, then buries it.

When the PP has Panarin as a legitimate shooting threat it really opens up the lanes that let the PP function so well. It’s so puzzling that he wasn’t doing this for so long.

Gallant NEEDS to keep Lafreniere and Kakko with Mika. When they’re on that line it not only makes that line better but it makes the rest of the top 9 better bc now you have Kreider with Trocheck and Chytil with Panarin.
Laf and Kakko aren’t going to get PP1 time clearly, so keeping them with Mika is key for them and for the team. It’s puzzling that it took this long to try it not only to get them going but to spread out the talent in the top 9 so you can play that 4 line rolling, coming at you in waves style that Gallant wants.
