Again, as I said before .. this is only valid when you lack talent and skill. Which isn't the case in NHL.
Ofcourse when you play against less talented teams, all they can do is just grind and hang and park the bus in front of goal.
IMO the big ice is better since the space allows talented players to showcase their skills so much better.
At the same time you can also enlarge goals, so we'll have a massive show out there.
I know what you're saying, but there is a lot of talent gap in the NHL in regard to specific teams or more accurately specific lines. You would see some fast hockey, but shutdown / checking lines would make the game worse with the expanded neutral zone. It's not as simple as big ice = faster hockey.
