That was one of the weirdest attempts to tie up someone in front of the net by Mironov, no attempt to take his stick and looked like he wanted to give Eakin a big hug.

Crosby, Giroux, Ovechkin and Malkin are probably the best clutch players here, I expect one of them will have a hand in a big goal in the next period.

That's such a myth about big ice. Watch any tournament, including this one, and it's pretty clear that if anything big ice encourages boring hockey when there's a mismatch.

Again, as I said before .. this is only valid when you lack talent and skill. Which isn't the case in NHL.
Ofcourse when you play against less talented teams, all they can do is just grind and hang and park the bus in front of goal.

IMO the big ice is better since the space allows talented players to showcase their skills so much better.
At the same time you can also enlarge goals, so we'll have a massive show out there.

ps. I'm talking about 80-100 inches more, not the international rink size.

Great hockey! I don't remember seeing this speed in Sochi - it was somehow so careful and defensive play there...

I kinda don't care who wins this one. I'm more looking at Plotnikov and am wanting the Pens to pick him up the more i've seen him in this tourney.

Is this guy available? Someone said he got out of his KHL contract?

Canada is so good in this game. Malkin is feeling the heat tonight. Looks like the Bambi on ice there.

Go, Canada! All of Europe is behind you! ;)
