It was the QF. You beat the Czechs in the semi final quite easily.

This is where I advise Finns to not go overboard with the Koskenkorva. It's ok to celebrate, it's not ok to turn obnoxious in some kind of NA hubris.

To think that "hubris" has a uniquely NA state is incredible hubris on its own.

It's part of the game, you should know that
Just watch the NHL playoffs and you'll see missed called, and bad calls all night long!
Is it frustrating hell yeah but thats the way it goes
It's not Finland's fault that the refs were bad, they took advantage of their opportunities
It was a great game, a great tournement by Finland
It shouldn't be.

That's the thing. We don't know that. We'll never know that, because the third team decided to intervene and produce an absolute shitfire of a game. Everyone should have a problem with that...
You're right, been a long time since I've screamed this much at the zebras. Good thing the good guys won

Sillinger ”high stick” was a bad call, but I don’t understand complaining about that Chabot penalty. Am I seeing wrong or doesn’t Chabot literally wrap his stick around Björninen, get it stuck between his legs and yank it around? That should always be a penalty.
Finland got 2 goals on that high stick.

What a player, he deserves this.

Reffing is part of the game. Finns have had their share of getting shafted by the refs as well. It sucks but it is what it is. Our third goal might as well have been 2 minutes for cross checking Heiskanen face first into the goal post so there's that, too. I realize it's a hard call to make but it would have been the correct call.

Granlund is maybe better than Dubois (he definitely was in his prime, but he is starting to get older). Manninen and Armia are nowhere near his talent, even if he has discipline issues. Barzel is definitely better than all 3.
Agreed.

Though in context of this tournament, Manninen and Armia were just awesome.

Everyone that has followed Armia closely can remember how he has had some burst of greatness on NHL too for like 5-10 games on a row before again falling back into that ~3rd line guy. He has that high upside even though he usually plays bottom-6 hockey.

Manninen was the biggest surprise for me this tournament. That guy is worth of a NHL contract.

I have to say that I would be a little disappointed when Heiskanen went around the goal and wanted to insert the puck into the goal. I immediately remembered Kasperi Kapanen's golden goal in 2016 at the home tournament. The result was then 4-3 with a goal in OT. And the coach was Jukka Jalonen.

Btw. The next tournament will be great, it has two hockey countries and I'm not afraid to write that in my opinion the Latvian fans are a little more fanatical.

It doesn't work like that at all. If the ref thinks the first was not a foul or even missed it you say he is not allowed to call anything after that? Lmfao
What? The whole premise is that the ref thinks the first foul deserves a penalty.
